In the reading be can see the main or some reasons that why the people make charitable
actions, while in the listening we are going to see one of the biggets charitable givings of all
times.

In the reading of this article we can see that one of the main reasons of Charitable Giving is
altruism, the unselfish desire to help other people and make the world a better place, also
colleges and universities often receive gifts from successful graduations who want to widen
educational opportunities, as many donors give to causes that have touched them
personally in some way they didn’t even think, but in addition to tax benefits, donors often
receive favorable publicity for making donations, and they have an opportunity to influence
the world around them.
Instead in the reading we heard about Gladys donations but she never realize that she was
going to make one of the biggest donations of all times, she became the biggest donors in
one hospital of her own home of Chicago, She donated around 12 million dollars and she
also started to brought teddy bears to the children in the hospital, she donated all that
money because in that hospital she felt strong because the doctors saved her sister’s best
friend.

As in the reading as in the listening we can see that both are talking about the same but in
different way, but the are talking about the same but one tells you the reasons and the
other tells you a great example.
