GLOBALISATION

Globalisation does not have a clear definition, so it can be defined as a phenomenon,

a strategy, an ideology or all together. Globalisation is a complex set of processes designed
to integrate international economic, military, political, socio-cultural and security interests,
leading to a uniform standard of living and development on a global scale. It is a modern
term used to describe changes in society.
The first era of globalisation can be described as the era of liberalisation, when gold
set the economic standard. As countries entered the era of globalisation, goods, capital and
workers moved freely between them and unequalities between countries began to
disappear. As a result, once trade borders were broken, interstate trade and investment
experienced unprecedented growth. This led to technological and economic development,
but also to international terrorist networks and criminal organisations. So globalisation has
brought both benefits and side-effects.
Economic globalisation points to four types of movement: goods and services ,
people (migration), capital (international markets) and technology.
