In light of recent market developments, Kidde Fire Systems (Kidde) is pleased to reiterate our intent to continue
to provide our customers the same high-quality fire suppression delivery system platforms that we have shipped
to you in years past and that you expect to receive from us going forward.

Please be specifically advised of the following:

- 3M, supplier of Novec 1230 1, has announced 2 that it will “exit PFAS Manufacturing by the end of 2025”
and has confirmed that this agent is included in the exit plan
- Kidde is well along the way to qualifying, developing and agency listing its own brand-new, alternative
fire suppression delivery system solutions using a Kidde-branded FK-5-1-12 fluoroketone agent which
we will announce as soon as we are production ready
- Our goal is to enable an optimal phase in-phase out plan duration to maximize the possibility of smooth
transition for existing sales and projects where Novec 1230, Fluoroketone or FK-5-1-12 agent are
specified

Good News
The Kidde Natura™ Inert Gas system with its four gases, two pressure options and flow-pressure control valve
is an excellent and cost-effective alternative to chemical suppressant-based fire suppression systems. Also, the
Kidde High Pressure CO2 and Kidde Low Pressure CO2 product lines continue to remain strong and drive growth
for suitable special hazard applications.
