At the athletic meeting in Dubnica (Slovakia) Primo finished at the fifth place (71.76 m). In The Olympic and World Champion Kozmus the middle of the competition he felt pain in his concluded his surprisingly successful season back, so he didn't perform in the last three series. The competition was won by Krisztian Pars 2011 at the competition in his hometown (79.95 m). Breice. He won the competition (72,62 m) ahead of the Brasilian Walter Domingos (70,24 m). Primo Kozmus continues his successful performances after the recent world championships. He attended a meeting in Italy on 9 and 10 September, where he finished fourth with a result 76.56 m. Hungarian Pars won the competitions (78.77 m), ahead of Dilshod Nazarov (77.52m) and Italian Nicola Vizzoni (77.19 m). Primo said he was pleased to still keep track with the competition.

Bronze in Warsaw Warsaw, 20. 9. 2011


Primo Kozmus finished his last international performance in the bronze season 2011. At the Warsaw meeting he won the third place with the result 72.88 m. The victory in the hammer throw competition went to the young 22-year old Pawel Fajdek, this year's European Champion in the category up to 23 years. The longest distance for Primo was achieved in the first series, while the other valid results measured 71.12 m, 71.89 m and 68.61 m. The competition was the final attendance of meetings abroad for Primo this season, while he will start the preparations for the Olympic season already in October. The Warsaw meeting is dedicated to Kamila Skolimovska, who died in 2009 and entered history as the youngest Olympic champion in hammer throw.

At the 61. Boris Hanekovi Memorialu in Zagreb one of the more interesting competitions was hammer throw for men which featured the second-and third best from the world Championships, Primo Kozmus and Hungarian Pars. In a very interesting competition, accompanied with very cheerful atmosphere Primo set his season's best (80.28 m). His result at the end sufficed for the second place, as he got beaten by Dilshod Nazarev by 2 cm, while Hungarian Pars finished third (79.86 m). I like to compete in Zagreb very much and the conditions were very good also this time, the competition was strong, therefore I expected a firm fight. Also the atmosphere was very good, so I'm very happy to achieve my first 80 m this season in front of my fans set Kozmus, who still owns the meet's best from 2009. Kozmus was loudly supported by about 100 domestic fans, including the mayor of his hometown Ivan Molan. The Zagreb meeting featured many stars of the world athletics, including Useinom Bolt, Carmelita Jetter and Blanka Vlai.

After a more than 24-hour journey Primo Kozmus, winner of the bronze medal at the World Championships in Daegu and his trainer Marjan Ogorevc. They were warmly received also at the Ljubljana airport by a bus of Primo's most faithful friends, family members and friends. The party was continued in Breice with an entertainment programme and reception, and the celebration lasted throughout the night. Primo Kozmus, It is wonderful to be back. The medal proves I'm on the right track to defend my Olympic gold from Beijing next year. The medal was unexpected and therefore even more valuable. I would like to thank my team, including the coach Marjan Ogorevc, Severin Lipovek and Khalid Nassif. A special thanks goes to my former coach Vlado Kevo for setting good basis for our work.
