“Bringing good news to the masses in these changing times.

“We walk by faith and not by sight.”

Time. Forgiveness. Love. These are the things we always take for granted. We do have
time for everything, but spend it unwisely; we are being taught about forgiveness but neglect on
applying it; and we know about love but oftentimes fail to show it. In these challenging times,
where sufferings and negativities continue to spread and dominate, we should always remember
that we have a God who is greater than anything. The musical skit is a revelation for us to reflect
on the things that may have been forgotten.
Time. Oras. When was the last time we had our bible reflection? This morning?
Yesterday? Last week? Last month?
Christians. Have we ever stopped for a while and meditated? I believe not. We give too much
effort on all worldly things and we keep forgetting that one thing that matters most, having time
with God. With the recent global crisis we are facing now, dili na kaayo ta kagawas2 sa atong
mga panimalay ug dili importante atoang lakwon. Sa panahon sa lockdown, quarantine, isolation,
nahimo tang wala kaayoy mabuhat. Na stop ta for a while, why not take this time para makig
storya sa atoang Ginoo? Why don’t we make this time for bible reflections and meditations?
Why don’t we give this time for our family? Ang trabaho ug modules, nay deadline. Sama ra
gihapon na sa atong mga kinabuhi. Kita lumalabay lang aning kalibutana. Dili kita ang naghawid
sa atong mga ugma ug mga puhon. We do not know what will happen tomorrow. Kanus a man ta
muhatag ug panahon sa atong Ginoo? Kanus a man ta mugahin ug oras sa atong mga pamilya?
Magpa ugma ugma paba ta? Walay laing panahon kundili karon. Dili inig human aning modules,
dili inig human aning atong trabaho, kundili karon.
Forgiveness. Pagpasaylo. “Pagsorry na,” “Pangayo na ug pasaylo ba,” “Sige,
mangayo ko ug sorry.” Pirti ka sayon sultion pero lisod buhaton. Even if you deny it or not, we
have always experienced this feeling. A feeling of not being able to express because of fear and
shame. Dili ta dapat maulaw sa butang nga kita rapoy nakaingon nganong nahitabo. We always
blame the other side because we think they are against our decisions and us. Conflicts and
misunderstandings are normal. It is inevitable. We are not living our lives to the fullest if we
have not experienced trials and circumstances. These obstacles are just there to test our faith
towards God and His promises. God is a forgiving God. Naa ta diri karon, ako, ikaw, ikaw, naa
ta diri karon tungod sa pagpasaylo sa atoang Ginoo. Kay pinasaylo man ta sa Ginoo. Kita pd
Have time to think and understand the situation. How can
something be forgiven if in the first place, there is nothing to forgive. We always avoid the
things that belittles us. We are so much afraid to face it because we rather conceal our sin with
pride than confront it. Garbo.
problema. Just like in the skit, taman nalang sila ug litok sa ilang mga pagmahay. Do not wait for
something or someone to leave you for you to apologize. Confront and apologize sa imong isig
ka tawo while they are still here. Ug dili karon, Kanus a man ka mangayo ug pasaylo ug
magpasaylo?
Love. Gugma. The greatest of all. John 3:16 For God "so loved" the world.... The main
reason nganu naa ta diri karon is tungod sa gugma sa Ginoo, and because of that we are also
called to do the same thing to our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, to love one another. 1
John 4:8 ika nga, “if you do not love others as you love yourself, then you do not know God, for
God is love.” Since we are His children, our core should be Jesus Himself, which is love
Himself. Magsugod gyud na sa atoang kaugalingon. Because we cannot give what we do not
have. Everything starts with the love within ourselves and everything will follow. Time,
forgiveness, and compassion sa matag usa.
Before we are able to give these things: TIME, FORGIVENESS, and LOVE. We must
first immerse ourselves in receiving these things from God. Because you can't pour out or give
the things you don't actually have. We need to have a good relationship towards God kay tudluan
sad ta Niya unsaon pagtreat sa atong isigkatawo.
The black cloth symbolizes the negativities we experience in life. Pride, prejudices,
anger, regrets. But in every darkness we have God who serves as our light. A light that shines all
throughout our journey. He will wrap us in His presence and will wash away all the darkness that
caused our blindness. Who we are and where we are now is not just because of our own
decisions and hard work.
Proverbs 16:9. In these challenging times may
we always be strong and always have faith that we can surpass it with God by our side. We may
not be able to see Him but He is here, beside us. He moves in His incredible ways. He will never
fail us. The God before is still the God we have now. Our God is greater and powerful than evil.
When we cannot seem to find God’s hands, trust His heart. Be courageous to face every fears
and negativities for we walk by faith and not by sight in these changing times.
