THE PARENT THE LORD

WANTS YOU TO BE
PSALM 127:3-5
CHILDREN ARE A GIFT FROM GOD.

1
OUR CHILDREN HAVE PURPOSE

HIS PURPOSE IS THAT THEY MAY

BECOME LIKE CHRIST.

THE GREATEST JOY OUR CHILDREN

WILL EVER EXPERIENCE IS BEING
IN THE CENTER OF GOD'S WILL.

2
BECOMING THE PARENT THE
LORD WANTS YOU TO BE
Start children off on the way they should go, and
even when they are old they will not turn from it.
Proverbs 22:6
Children, obey your parents in the Lord,
for this is right.
Ephesians 6:1
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving
each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Ephesians 4:32
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23
gentleness and self-control. Against such things
there is no law.

THE TRUE MEANING OF

DISCIPLINE IS TO:

TALK, TRAIN, AND GUIDE YOUR CHILD

MICAH 6:8

THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF DISCIPLINE:

SELF-DISCIPLINE
What makes a Godly Parent, the
Parent the Lord wants you to be?
To parent in a way that pleases God, you must
seek, depend on, & live through Christ.
1 Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor
in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the
guards stand watch in vain. 2 In vain you rise early
and stay up late, toiling for food to eat for he grants
sleep to those he loves.
