RE: ACTIVATION: Hot Weather Protocol

Governor Lamont has activated the hot weather protocol starting at 12:00PM today through
8:00PM Thursday, September 7, 2023. A Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and
Public Protection alert indicates:

“Governor Ned Lamont today announced that due to a weather forecast indicating that temperatures over
the next couple of days are expected to be very hot and humid, he is directing Connecticut’s extreme hot
weather protocol to be activated effective at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, and remaining
in effect through 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023. We may have thought that the hot summer
temperatures were over for the season but it looks like we are getting another stretch of heat this week,”
Governor Lamont said. “Anyone vulnerable to the heat is advised to take precautions.”
