Reflection:
In 5-6 sentences, discuss the importance of The Accessibility Act and how it may
support employees/visitors, or even yourself, at your placement.
The Accessibility Act allows disabled people in Ontario to aim to find work without any
physical barrier. This will support millions of people who are suffering from disability in
Ontario. This allows them to integrate into society and help them to feel included in a
society where high standard exists. I work in a long-time nursing home where disability
is common see it is important for them to realize that disability is common and they are
no different from others in society. It is important for me to help them feel included in
the community and help them to make a difference that will impact them and others in
their surrounding.
