Main idea:
The article is about the mention of a marketplace in the
dark web which is selling weapons that in fact are fake and
Russia alleged that Ukraine were going to use them
against this country due to the war they are going through.

Supporting facts:
- We all know that the war between Ukraine and
Russia has led to many misinterpretations and
Russia’s Government is willing to get over Ukraine
at all cost. Up to the point of assuring that Ukraine
was getting weapons to assemble their attack
towards this country.
- BBC news published a twitter post about this piece
of news and many people replied with evidence and
photos from this website; some may be found on
this link of the twitter post:

- During the analysis of this market place, BBC
carried out their own research along a linguist expert
on translation of Polish and Ukrainian languages
and she found out that there were several
grammatical mistakes on the communication they
had along the “weapons’ sellers” and she manifests
that Russia was behind all this event.
- Another element to consider is that Russian media
got access to this information quite fast that makes
them suspicious of being the authors of the seller
website.

carried out is fundamental in order to verify the
authenticity of the news, here we may observe how
social media can spread false information with ease
and how people are easy to mislead.
2. Applying what was learned as in modules 2 & 3 and
in the library’s webpage of Benedictine University
BBC helped to uncover the misinformation provided
on the news by checking the source in deep allowed
to reveal the truth of this information and not leaving
aside the translator who was key to determine the
veracity of the provenance of the website which was
selling the weapons.
