The webinar about Untold Stories of Childhood to Parenthood: The Reality of
Teenage Pregnancy and Violence Against Women and Children is so very
informative and relevant. Especially now that teenage pregnancy is so very rampant, as well as violence against women and children. The given topic was relevant since the rate of teenage pregnancy is getting higher each year, and addressing this issue through the given webinar gives so much information on what the causes and effects of it are, which means it wouldn't just affect the woman's future but also the future of the baby. The webinar gives real-life experiences where they got pregnant at an early age, their struggles as they reveal it to their families, all the hardships as they become parents at a young age. The webinar demonstrates that there are numerous reasons why someone becomes pregnant at a young age, with the stories provided indicating that they find love in someone because their family is broken or they are having issues with their families. It just shows that our country still needs to do more in implementing programs and seminars to make sure that every adolescent gets enough information on how important avoiding being pregnant at an early age is because teenage pregnancy here in our country isn't just a mere issue but it is a national emergency knowing how the teenage pregnancy cases get higher every year. The second speaker tackles the violence against women and children, which gives a lot of information on how women and children are well protected by our laws and regulations. The topic shows every woman must be treated respectfully and their "no's" are important. The speaker gives a lot of scenarios on how each woman is being abused, not just physically but verbally and socially, and how each woman and the children can fight for their rights. The speaker gives a real-life experience and explains how they overcame it. As of now, there are lots of women and children who are being abused and staying silent. But the webinar strongly encourages the women and children out there to stand and fight for what is right because there are lots of laws and people that will help you get the justice that you deserve. Furthermore, the webinar gives a lot of key takeaways that wouldn't just help us, but it did serve as a door for us to help other people through the information that we gained through the given webinar.
