 How to answer negative yes/no questions:

 same as simple positive yes/no questions

If you are sick : Yes, I am.

Are you sick?

If you are not sick : No, I am not.

If you are sick : Yes, I am.

Aren’t you sick?

If you are not sick : No, I am not.
