Take a leisurely walk along the 3.3km scenic route and enjoy magnificent views of the cascading hotel towers of Marina Bay
Sands, the world’s first curved “double helix” pedestrian bridge – The Helix, The Float @ Marina Bay, The Esplanade- another
architectural marvel along the Bay and Singapore’s world famous landmark, the Merlion.

A Fund-raising Walkathon of around 5 km distance, can incorporate a “competitive” element of


around 8 km if viable. Otherwise, a family friendly walk to mingle with Deaf persons, enjoying the
warm sunshine and walk either through an East Coast venue or some of Singapore’s iconic
landmarks. Good if can contain some educational elements about Deafness.

End with a mini Fun Fair with food and game stalls, also to spread educational messages on Deaf
culture.

Target around 1000 – 2000, while creating a S’pore Record of the Largest number of Deaf persons
at a walk event. Hope to raise around $100,000.

• 5-km Route
• Registration at 7.15am
• Flag off at 8am
• End of Walk around 9am to 9.30am
• Free bowling session for participants from 10am to 12 noon

Participants of all ages are welcome.

*Min. of 50 participants to commence activity and a max. of 200 participants.

Highlights:

- Places of worship built in the 1800s

- Old shophouses and traces of the lives of Singapore's early immigrants

- Close look at interesting fruit and spice trees

Walking time: 30min

Bedok Reservoir Park


Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park 
Highlights:
- A variety of habitats offering different degrees of tranquillity and serenity 

- Unique riparian (river bank) habitat rich in flora and fauna 

- Themed playgrounds for the young and the young at heart

- Fauna from the nearby Central Nature Reserve

 Walking time: 1hr

Bukit Batok Nature Park


Central Catchment Nature Reserve (MacRitchie Boardwalk) – Chemperai Trail 
Highlights:

- Panoramic views of the reservoir against the backdrop of dense rainforest

- Thriving dragonfly and damselfly communities

- An easy trail that skirts the edge of the reservoir

 Walking time: 1 hour

Central Catchment Nature Reserve (MacRitchie Boardwalk) - Prunus Trail


Empress Place, Esplanade Park & War Memorial Park – Monument Trail
Highlights:

- Historical landmarks telling the story of Singapore's history, growth and development

- Introduction to prominent features of the Civic District

Walking time: 45min

Fort Canning Park - Ancient History Trail


Highlights:

- Spice Garden (site of Singapore's first experimental and botanical garden)

- Heritage Trees

- Keramat (shrine) housing tomb of the last ruler of pre-colonial Singapore

- Archaeological dig and exhibition area

 Walking time: 45min
