a. identify the different kinds of special quadrilaterals: square, rectangle, parallelogram, trapezoid, and
rhombus.

b. describe the attributes and properties of quadrilaterals using concrete objects or models.

c. draw the different kinds of quadrilaterals.

Now did you know what are the topic for today? Sir! Quadrilateral is shape that have four side.

It is all about shape, but our topic for today kind of

quadrilaterals.

Any idea what is quadrilaterals?

Very Good!

Your answer is correct.

The quadrilaterals are all four sides and four

corners. All four sided figures or polygons are
called quadrilaterals. Some of them have two or
more equal sides. Quadrilaterals may also have
one or two pairs of parallel sides.

Althought all quadrilaterals have four sides we can

see that they vary in sizes and shapes. Let us now
look at the different kinds of special quadrilaterals.

KINDS OF QUADRILATERALS

This is a square. It has four equal sides

and opposite side are parallel. All its four corners
are right angles or measure 90°.

This is a rectangle. Opposite sides are

equal and parallel. All its four corners are right
angles or measure 90°.

This is a parallelogram. Opposite

side are equal and parallel. Angles at opposite
corners have the same measurement.

This is a trapezoid. It has one

pair of parallel sides. Yes Sir! (all of student said)

This is a rhombus. Its four side

are equal. Opposite sides are parallel and opposite Sir! Rhombusts its four side are equal.
