ULTRASONOGRAPHY OF PELVIS (TVS)

URINARY BLADDER: The urinary bladder is empty.

UTERUS: The uterus is anteverted. It is normal in size (6.8 x 5.2 x 4.1 cm, volume = 76 cc), shape and
echotexture. An echogenic focus with internal echoes and without internal vascularity is seen in
fundus region of uterus, measuring 2.2 x 1.5 x 0.8 cm, (volume = 1.4 cc).
OVARIES & ADNEXA: Right ovary measures 3.1 x 1.9 x 1.7 cm, (volume = 5.3 cc). Left ovary measures 3.0
x 2.6 x 1.8 cm, (volume = 7.4 cc). Both ovaries are normal in size and echogenicity. There is no focal solid
or cystic mass lesion in it. No other appreciable adnexal space occupying lesion is noted.
OTHERS: There is no free or loculated fluid collection in pelvis.

IMPRESSION: SMALL ECHOGENIC FOCUS with INTERNAL ECHOES in FUNDUS REGION OF UTERUS
ALONG THE ENDOMETRIAL LINING – LIKELY RETAINED PRODUCTS OF CONCEPTION /
COLLECTION.
