Sintyavar 346

It has been over twenty-five years since the Terg forces have invaded Barovia. Lord Argynvost had
ordered the Gates of Tsolenka built and guarded by the Shield Maidens and knights, to protect the Amber
Temple. I was ordered, along with eight knights to stand watch and guard the Amber Temple, along with
the wizards as a last line of defense. It has been two long years since I have been sent to this duty and
while I am honored with the trust and the importance of this position assigned by Lord Argynvost, I long to
stand with my fellow knights on the battlefield against our enemy.
Word has spread, the Lord of Barovia, Count von Hapsburg has fallen. Prince Strahd von Zarovich has
arrived with his army and claimed to be the new Lord of Barovia and demands Lord Argynvost and the
Order of the Silver Dragon pledge fidelity to his banner. My orders from Lord Argynvost are to stand fast
and my first duty is to guard the Amber Temple against all invaders, including Prince Strahd von Zarovich.

Octyavr 346

A messenger has arrived, Prince Strahd’s army marches on the Gates of Tsolenka and I am to dispatch
any remaining knights I can afford. The situation grows dire and I send six of the knights, leaving myself
and two knights to stand watch at the entrance of the Amber Temple.
The wizards of Amber Temple grow concern and spend their time in the lower level of the temple in
matters of magic which is beyond my comprehension. They speak of casting powerful magic to lock the
doors to the darkness that is imprisoned in the lower depths of this temple, an area which I am forbidden
to venture.

Neyavr 346

I have received no word from my fellow knights at the Gates of Tsolenka. Hope fades as the hour grows
late. My two fellow knights and I take turns standing watch at the entrance of the Amber Temple. I call
upon my faith to stand fast and repel those who attempt to gain entry and hope the wizards have been
able to secure the doors to the darkness that lies imprisoned here.
I pray to once more see the green meadows that lie along the river near Argynvostholt and to rejoice with
my fellow knights of the order.
In the name of Argynvost, I rally in Life and in Death!
