RE Work

There are three Gods that are responsible for creation, preservation and destruction in
Hinduism. They are known as the Trimurti. As they represent three images of God.

Brahma = Creation = Birth

Vishnu = Preservation = Life
Shiva = Destruction = Death

The only way the cycle of Samsara will end for a Hindu is when they achieve Moksha.
This means that their soul is no longer in the cycle of birth, life and death.
Hindus believe that when they achieve Moksha, their soul is reunited with their one true
God, Brahman.
A Hindu might achieve Moksha through good karma.

If a person lives a good life, what are possible outcomes in their afterlife?
The possible outcomes of their afterlife are that they are reborn as a superior organism in
the next life, or they might even achieve Moksha (liberation or freedom from the Samsara).

Explain two different destinations of the Atman in a Hindu’s afterlife and what might impact
the afterlife they receive?
One destination of the atman in afterlife is that it moves to a different body after death.
The other destination is that the atman will achieve Moksha and will be re-joined with
Brahman, their one true God.
