Lagos Lagoon provides a deep, sheltered harbour for ships which makes it excellent for
container ships.
This gives Nigeria access to the trading waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Niger River is the third longest river in Africa, after the Nile and the Congo.
The Niger River connects Nigeria to Guinea, Mali, Niger and Benin.
