* CABLE - 1 APPLIED 25% PRESTRESSING FORCE.


IV) IF THE REQUIRED ELONGATION IS NOT OBTAINED , FURTHER FINISHING
* CABLE - 2 APPLIED 50% PRESTRESSING FORCE.
OPERATIONS SUCH AS CUTTING OR SEALING, SHOULD NOT BE
* CABLE - 1 APPLIED 75% PRESTRESSING FORCE.
CABLE - 2 APPLIED 100% PRESTRESSING FORCE. UNDERTAKEN WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF THE ENGINEER.
* CABLE - 1 APPLIED 100% PRESTRESSING FORCE.
* DIFFERENCE OF 25% PRESTRESSING FORCE SHALL BE MAINTAINED. 9 . LAYING OF SHEATHING :
* SHEATHING SHALL BE CLOSELY SUPPORTED ( > 1.0m) IN CORRECT PROFILE TO
LEVELS SO THAT THEY ARE NOT DISPLACED DURING CONCRETING.
2. STAGE 3 : AFTER PRE-STRESSING AND GROUTING OF CABLE, GIRDER TO BE ANY REINFORCEMENT FALLING IN LINE WITH SHEATHING SHALL BE DEVIATED

X 3. STAGE 4 : AFTER PLACING ALL GIRDERS ON PIER-CAP, DECK SLAB TO BE CAST. 10. DURING POST-TENSIONING OPERATION NOBODY SHALL BE ALLOWED TO STAND

END GIVEN IN THE DRAWING SHALL BE VERIFIED AT SITE .

F) INITIAL SLACKNESS IN PRESTRESING CABLE SHALL BE REMOVED BY


APPLYING SMALL INITIAL TENSION. THE INITIAL TENSION REQUIRED TO
REMOVE SLACKNESS SHALL BE AS THE STARTING POINT FOR MEASURING
ELONGATION AND CORRECTION SHALL BE APPLIED AS PER
CLAUSE 12.2.1.3 OF IS:1343-1980.
5. THE ELONGATION GIVEN IN TABLE SHALL BE MODIFIED AT SITE, INCASE ACTUAL
VALUE OF AREA OF STRANDS AND MODULUS OF ELASTICITY VARIES FROM THAT
ASSUMED IN DESIGN, REVISED EXTENSIONS SHALL BE CALCULATED AS UNDER
