3.1 General
1) Process Flow가 결정됨과 동시에 이 Process Plant를 가장
경제적으로 설계하기위한 각 Line의 재료를 선정하여,
P & ID 작성에 반영하게 된다.
이 배관 재료를 체계적으로 정의 한 것을 Piping Material
SPEC. 라 한다.
2) MAT’L은 특히 다음 사항을 유의하여 선정해야 한다.
- 경제적이고 안정성이 있을 것
- 유체의 특성에 대하여 내구성이 있을 것
- 가공성이 있고 시장성이 있을 것

4.3 Layout의 기본 계획
1) Plant는 통상 Onsite(Process Unit) 와 Offsite로 구분
배치 계획하며 Offsite의 시설물은 다음과 같다.
- Storage Tank
- Utility Facilities (Cooling Tower & Boiler etc)
- Loading & Unloading Facilities
- Waste Disposal Facilities (Water & Gas)
- Flare Stack
- Electrical Transformer
- Building

4.3 Layout의 기본 계획
2) Plant Block에 대한 세부적인 Break 계획 수립
- Process Unit와 요구되는 Area를 규정한다.
- Block를 Plotting시 Plant Road 배치와 함께 정한다.
- Plant 증설 여부를 파악 Expansion Area 를 정한다.
- Product Storage Area는 Process Unit 근처에 정한다.
- Utility System은 가능한 Process Unit 근처에 정한다.
- Cooling Tower & Flare Stack등의 설치는 풍향을
고려하여 Process Unit와 일정거리 유지한다.
- Process Unit와 각 Block은 Pipe Rack Route를 고려

4.3 Layout의 기본 계획
3) Road 배치 계획
- 각 Block사이의 Main Road를 설치 한다.
- 각 Block사이의 Road는 Min. 5m로 한다.
- Road Corner부는 6m 이상의 반경으로 한다.
- Road 양측은 배수로 시설을 한다.
- Road 측면으로부터 5~6m의 간격을 두고 시설물을
설치 한다. (Cooling Water & Fire Water etc)
- 정비 및 운송을 위하여 Big Size의 장비가 필요로
할 경우에는 회전을 위한 Turning을 고려한다.

4) Area Classification적용 계획
- Hazardous Area와 Non Hazardous Area로 구분하여
기기를 배치한다.
- Building,Warehouse,Control Room,MCC등은 Non
Hazardous Area에 배치한다.
- Hazardous Area내에 위치한 모든 기기는 방폭기기
- 관련 팀과의 긴밀한 협조와 Coordination 이 필요

4.5 Piping Support의 재질
1) 배관에 직접 연결되는 Support의 재질은 배관의 설계
온도에 따라 통상 다음과 같이 선정한다.
- Below 350°C : Carbon Steel Plate (A36)
- Below 420 °C : Carbon Steel Plate (A285Gr C)
: Stainless Steel Plate (A240-304)
- Below 450 °C : Alloy Steel Plate (A387 Gr.22 Cal.1)
2) Dummy & Trunnions, Elbow Stanchion Support Type과
같이 Pipe에 직접 Welding 되는 경우에는 배관의 Piping
Class와 동일한 자재를 사용한다.

3) Special Piping Support Drawing
- Standard Piping Support Drawing 만으로 적용이 곤란
할 경우에는 그에 맞도록 별도로 작성된 Drawing

5.1 Steam Tracing의 정의
Steam Tracing은 유체 또는 기체가 유동하는 Pipe Line
에서 동결되거나 점도 가 너무 높아지는 것을 방지하며
Fluid의 응축을 방지하는데 사용된다.

5.4 Steam Tracing의 작성 방법
1) 배관도에 Steam Tracing 되어야 할 Line을 검토하여
Steam Distribution Manifold 및 Condensate Collection
Manifold Location을 결정한다.
2) Manifold Location은 원칙적으로 Piping Plan DWG에
작성하는 것을 원칙으로 한다.
(별도의 요청이 있을 시 에는 Plot Plan에 작성)
3) Steam Tracing 되는 Line들의 적정거리,Operation &
Malignance 등을 고려하여 Group별로 Manifold Location
을 결정한다.

5.4 Steam Tracing의 작성 방법
4) Steam Circuit(Lead Line) Lay-out을 작성한다.
5) Steam Circuit Piping Route가 정해지면 각 Manifold
Branch Point의 Quantity(Tracer Nozzle)를 결정한다.
6) Steam Circuit Drawing을 참조하여 Steam Tracing
Schedule을 작성한다.
7) Steam Circuit Drawing을 참조하여 Steam Distribution
Manifold & Condensate Collection Schedule을 작성한다.
8) Piping ISO DWG을 제 2 원도 로 하여 Traced ISO DWG
을 작성 한다.
