SUMMARY

1. Summary
As part of my college internship program, I got selected to work for 4 months as a
Business Analyst Intern at Bharatfirst Technologies Private Ltd (Paavan). The internship
began on 9th January 2023. The four-month internship program was undertaken under Mr.
Nikhil Agrawal.
Paavan is India's leading well-being app, guiding people to lead a happy and balanced
life. It helps to unlock your potential with the expert-led solutions, programs &
workshops on self-improvement, skill mastery, relationships, career & health.

During my internship at Paavan, I had the opportunity to delve into various projects
related to social media marketing, influencing collaboration, content creation, product
promotion, and content design. Over the span of four months, I was responsible for
managing Paavan's Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter accounts, overseeing the entire
process from ideation to content creation, posting, and promotional efforts.

On Instagram, my primary objective was to boost Paavan's brand visibility by creating


engaging content. I successfully published 40 posts, carousels, and giveaways, which
played a pivotal role in enhancing user retention and building trust with our audience.
Additionally, the 47 reels I posted significantly increased brand visibility, while the 460
Stories fostered higher engagement and regular interactions with our followers.

The Instagram influencer marketing campaign aimed to collaborate with relevant


influencers to promote Paavan's brand and products. I successfully partnered with 5
influencers within a month, leading to increased brand visibility through their
collaborative reels.

Conducting the bi-weekly Instagram Live sessions with experts and creators was another
crucial objective. Through these sessions, we provided valuable content to our followers.
and improved brand trust. This approach successfully attracted new customers through
enhanced engagement with our social media accounts.

On LinkedIn, I worked to increase Paavan's visibility by creating engaging content that


focused on work-related issues and solutions. I published 27 creatives, which resulted in a
follower increase to 1150.

My efforts extended to Twitter, where I posted over 30 threads, tweets, and blog
promotions, effectively boosting brand visibility and promotion.
Additionally, I was responsible for maintaining a consistent brand image across all social
media platforms, ensuring all posts aligned with Paavan's messaging and visual identity.

I designed and edited more than 100 creatives, including reels, stories, static posts, and
carousels, while generating over 300 content ideas for various posts, reels, stories, and
tweets.

Throughout the internship, I learned valuable lessons, emphasizing the significance of


creativity, adaptability, comprehensive research, effective communication, collaboration,
attention to detail, and continuous learning in the dynamic field of digital marketing. In
conclusion, my internship at Paavan was a transformative experience, allowing me to
execute diverse social media marketing projects successfully. The outcomes achieved,
including increased brand visibility, customer engagement, and lead generation, have
undoubtedly equipped me with essential skills for my future career and personal growth in
the realm of digital marketing.

2.1 About Business Analytics Role

In this section, we will delve into the business analytics role, its significance, and the
responsibilities associated with it. In today's data-driven world, businesses face a myriad of
challenges in managing vast amounts of information and making informed decisions. This is
where the role of business analytics becomes crucial. Business analytics is a process of utilizing
data, statistical and quantitative analysis, and predictive modeling to gain insights and drive
informed decision-making within an organization. It plays a pivotal role in extracting
meaningful patterns and trends from complex data sets, enabling companies to optimize their
operations, identify opportunities for growth, and respond swiftly to market changes.

Role Overview:

As The business analytics role is at the forefront of transforming raw data into actionable
insights. Analysts in this role are responsible for understanding business objectives, identifying
data sources, and designing analytical frameworks to extract relevant information. They work
closely with various stakeholders, including management, marketing, finance, and operations
teams, to translate data into valuable strategies and solutions.
Business analysts serve as the bridge between technical experts and business leaders, ensuring
that data-driven insights align with organizational goals and are presented in a comprehensible
manner. They play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making at all levels of the
company, from day-to-day operations to long-term strategic planning.

trends.

In the age of digitalization and social connectivity, the role of social media management has
become paramount for businesses and organizations worldwide. Social media platforms have
evolved into powerful tools for engagement, brand visibility, and customer interaction. The
social media management role entails harnessing the potential of these platforms to enhance a
brand's online presence, engage with audiences, and drive business growth. This
comprehensive and dynamic role involves a multifaceted approach to ensure effective
communication, brand representation, and community building.

Role Overview:
The social media management role revolves around strategically planning, executing, and
monitoring a brand's presence across various social media channels. The social media manager
serves as the voice of the brand, bridging the gap between the organization and its online
audience. They are responsible for curating content, interacting with followers, analyzing
performance metrics, and adapting strategies to align with ever-changing social media trends.

Responsibilities:
The social media manager's responsibilities are diverse and require a combination of creative,
analytical, and interpersonal skills. Some of the key responsibilities include:

Content Creation and Curation: Developing engaging and relevant content that resonates with
the target audience, including graphics, videos, blog posts, and infographics. Curating user-
generated content and collaborating with creative teams to maintain a consistent brand image.

Social Media Strategy: Formulating comprehensive social media strategies aligned with the

2.3 About Project


During my internship at Paavan, I had the opportunity to work on diverse projects in the field
of social media management and digital marketing. As a 3rd-year undergraduate pursuing
Civil Engineering, I embarked on this enriching experience to explore the realm of business
analytics and its practical application in the digital landscape.

The primary objective of the projects was to enhance Paavan's brand visibility, engage with
the target audience, and drive growth through strategic social media campaigns. Under the
guidance of the social media management team, I was entrusted with various responsibilities,

ranging from content creation and curation to influencer collaborations and live campaigns.

The first project focused on social media marketing on Instagram. My role was to create
engaging content in the form of reels, static posts, stories, and carousels, all aimed at
providing valuable solutions to workplace problems and reflecting the brand's core values.
Through this project, I aimed to foster a sense of trust and connection with the audience,
while also increasing user retention and brand awareness.

The second project involved collaborating with influencers on Instagram to promote Paavan's
brand and products. I diligently researched and compiled a directory of relevant influencers,
negotiated deals with them, and facilitated the creation of collaborative reels. This project
aimed to leverage the influence and reach of popular creators to expand brand visibility and
attract new customers.

2.4 Project Scope


The project scope for my internship at Paavan encompassed various social media
management initiatives, each contributing to the overall objective of enhancing the brand's
online presence, engagement, and growth. The scope of the projects was carefully defined to
ensure a focused approach and successful execution within the given timeframe. Here is a
detailed overview of the project scope for each initiative:

Social Media Marketing on Instagram:


Scope: Create engaging content on Instagram, including reels, static posts, stories, and
carousels, with a focus on workplace solutions and reflecting the brand's values.
Deliverables: 40 posts, carousels, and giveaways, 47 reels, and 460 Stories to drive user
retention, brand trust, and visibility.
Instagram Influencer Marketing:
Scope: Collaborate with influencers to promote Paavan's brand and products, expanding
brand visibility and attracting new customers.
Deliverables: A directory of relevant influencers, successful finalization of deals, and 5
collaborative reels to leverage influencer reach.

Scope: Enhance brand visibility and engagement on Twitter through strategic posting of

visibility.

Social Media Content and Design:


Scope: Ensure brand consistency across all social media platforms through designing and

effective content planning.
The project scope aimed at maximizing the impact of social media management efforts,
increasing audience engagement, and driving business growth for Paavan. By defining clear
objectives and deliverables for each project, the scope was effectively managed, allowing for
successful execution and valuable contributions to Paavan's digital marketing strategies.

3.1 Project 1 - Social Media Marketing on Instagram


Introduction: The "Social Media Marketing on Instagram" project aimed to strengthen
Paavan's brand presence on the popular social media platform, Instagram. Through this
project, I focused on curating engaging content and strategic campaigns to foster brand
visibility, enhance audience engagement, and establish a positive brand image.
Objective: The primary objective of this project was to leverage Instagram's vast user base
and effectively showcase Paavan's holistic wellness and life coaching services. By creating
compelling content, including reels, static posts, stories, and carousels, the project aimed to
attract new followers, retain existing ones, and build brand loyalty among the target audience.
Deliverables:
• Developed 40 posts, carousels, and giveaways that centered on providing solutions to
common workplace problems and reflected the core values of the brand.
• Produced 47 reels that showcased impactful statistical data and practical solutions to
real-life dilemmas faced by individuals.
• Created 460 Stories to engage followers with valuable content, encourage regular
interactions, and strengthen the brand's connection with the audience.
Results: The successful execution of the "Social Media Marketing on Instagram" project
yielded significant outcomes. The published posts, carousels, and giveaways contributed to
an increased user retention rate, fostering brand trust and reliability. The reels played a
crucial role in enhancing brand visibility and attracting new followers. Additionally, the
engaging Stories helped boost audience interaction, resulting in higher engagement rates and
a strengthened relationship with the audience.

Introduction: The "Instagram Influencer Marketing" project was designed to collaborate
with prominent social media influencers to amplify Paavan's brand reach and target specific
niche audiences. By strategically partnering with influencers, the project aimed to leverage
their influence to promote Paavan's wellness and life coaching services.
Objective: The primary objective of this project was to tap into the vast follower base of
relevant influencers and generate brand buzz around Paavan's offerings. The project sought to
create authentic and engaging content through influencer collaborations, ultimately increasing
brand visibility, attracting new users, and fostering a positive brand perception.

Deliverables:
• Compiled a directory of influencers aligned with Paavan's domain and target
audience.
• Successfully negotiated deals with influencers for brand promotion and content
collaborations.
Results: The "Instagram Influencer Marketing" project yielded fruitful outcomes in terms of
brand exposure and engagement. Collaborating with five influential creators within a month
significantly expanded Paavan's brand visibility, reaching diverse and relevant audiences.
The promotional reels and content shared by the influencers showcased the app's features and
benefits, generating a buzz around Paavan's services and encouraging users to explore the
platform further.

3.3 Project 3 - Instagram Live Campaign


Introduction: The "Instagram Live Campaign" project aimed to engage Paavan's audience
through bi-weekly live sessions featuring experts and creators from various fields. The
project focused on providing informative and interactive content to build brand trust and
attract new customers through enhanced engagement.
Objective: The primary objective of this project was to create valuable knowledge-sharing
sessions to enhance Paavan's brand image as a platform committed to holistic well-being. The
live sessions were intended to provide users with enriching content and foster meaningful
interactions with the brand.
Deliverables:
• Identified potential guests, including experts and content creators, for the live
sessions.
• Successfully conducted five bi-weekly live sessions with diverse topics and themes.

Results: The "Instagram Live Campaign" project achieved remarkable success in
establishing Paavan as a knowledge-sharing platform. The live sessions garnered positive
feedback from the audience, contributing to improved brand trust and credibility. The
engaging and informative content provided by the guests further strengthened Paavan's
reputation as a reliable source for personal growth and well-being.

Introduction: The "Social Media Marketing on LinkedIn" project focused on elevating
Paavan's brand visibility and engagement on the professional networking platform, LinkedIn.
This project aimed to curate content tailored to workplace solutions, promote Paavan's
articles, and foster meaningful interactions with the audience.

Objective: The primary objective of this project was to utilize LinkedIn's professional
audience base to showcase Paavan as a valuable resource for workplace solutions. By
creating informative and relevant content, the project aimed to increase followership and
establish Paavan as a trusted authority in the field of holistic well-being.
Deliverables:
• Developed 27 creatives that highlighted workplace solutions and encouraged
engagement.
• Promoted Paavan's articles through engaging blog posts on LinkedIn.
• Created carousels with insightful information on workplace challenges and strategies
to overcome them.
Results: The "Social Media Marketing on LinkedIn" project yielded positive outcomes in
terms of brand growth and audience engagement. The published creatives received positive
responses from the audience, contributing to an increased number of followers on Paavan's
LinkedIn page. The promotion of Paavan's articles through blog posts further strengthened
the brand's thought leadership, positioning Paavan as a credible source of knowledge and
solutions in the professional sphere.

sought to increase Paavan's reach and promote its holistic wellness and life coaching
offerings.
Objective: The primary objective of this project was to harness Twitter's real-time and
concise nature to drive brand awareness and engagement. By posting engaging content, the
project aimed to generate interest in Paavan's services, attract potential customers, and foster
a sense of community around the brand.
Deliverables:
• Posted over 30 threads, tweets, and blog promotions, tailored to resonate with the
target audience.
• Utilized trending hashtags and relevant topics to amplify Paavan's reach on Twitter.
Results: The "Social Media Marketing for Twitter" project proved successful in expanding
Paavan's brand visibility and engagement on the platform. The strategically crafted tweets
and threads garnered attention from the Twitter community, resulting in increased brand
mentions, retweets, and user interactions. The use of trending hashtags further amplified the
reach of Paavan's content, attracting a broader audience interested in holistic well-being and
self-improvement.

Introduction: The "Social Media Content and Design" project centred on maintaining a
consistent brand image and identity across all social media platforms. By creating and
curating a wide range of visually appealing and on-brand content, the project aimed to
enhance Paavan's visual presence and overall messaging.
Objective: The primary objective of this project was to ensure that all social media posts
aligned with Paavan's brand identity and messaging. By designing and editing high-quality
visuals, including reels, stories, statics, and carousels, the project sought to create a cohesive
and aesthetically pleasing social media presence.
Deliverables:
• Designed and edited over 100 creatives, including reels, stories, static posts, and
carousels.
• Generated 300-plus content ideas for posts, reels, stories, and tweets to maintain a
consistent content calendar.
Results: The "Social Media Content and Design" project was instrumental in elevating
Paavan's brand appeal and visual consistency across all platforms. The meticulously designed
creatives received positive feedback from the audience, resulting in increased engagement
and shares. The implementation of a content calendar allowed for efficient content planning,
ensuring a regular flow of relevant and visually appealing content.

4.1 Indian Startup Industry
The Indian startup industry is one of the most vibrant and exciting in the world. The country
has seen a surge in the number of startups in recent years, and there is a growing ecosystem
of support for entrepreneurs. There are several factors that have contributed to the growth of
the Indian startup scene.
These include:
• A large and growing population: India has a population of over 1.3 billion people,
and the middle class is growing rapidly. This provides a large potential market for
startups.

5.1 Company Review

During my internship of 4 months here at Bharatfirst Technologies Private Limited (Paavan),


I worked on 6 different projects and collaborated with 2 mentors. I worked on different
technologies and worked with mentors specializing in different domains.

The technologies I worked on were advanced and I am grateful that I got to work on such latest
technologies in the beginning of my career. Given the complete handling of the products and
managing them, which was very critical for the work, was a very big responsibility for me and
it helped me learn a lot of things.

Everybody was very humble and helpful; they were ready to help and did not treat me anything
different than any other employee. I had daily check-in with my manager, in which I used to
update him about my progress and any difficulty I am facing. I also had weekly connects with
the founder and senior managers, all specializing in different domains. They all used to
appreciate my work, guide me, give me constructive feedback and I loved talking to them and
loved knowing their experiences.

The culture at Paavan was good, I really appreciate the work-life balance they provide. It was
perfectly balanced, and we were allowed to take breaks whenever required. We used to have
happy hours on Saturdays in which we talked about past funny experiences, and they even took
us outside for dinner. Sometimes we also got reimbursed for the food we ordered during those
happy hours, that was very new to me, and I loved that.

Overall, my experience with Paavan was amazing.

9.1 Impediments/Difficulties Faced


During an internship, it was common to encounter challenges and difficulties along the way.
Some difficulties that I faced:

1. Learning Curve: As an intern, I faced a steep learning curve when it came to understanding
new technologies, tools, and processes used in the company. Acquiring new skills and
adapting to the work environment was challenging initially.

2. Lack of Experience: This was my first professional experience. As a result, I felt a lack of
experience and confidence in certain areas. It was overwhelming to apply theoretical
knowledge to real-world projects and handle the expectations of the role.

3. Time Management: Balancing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and prioritizing


assignments was challenging. Effective time management skills become crucial in such
situations.

4. Communication: Communication was a difficulty, particularly when working with team


members from diverse backgrounds or when collaborating remotely. Understanding project
requirements, seeking clarification, and expressing ideas effectively are essential skills to be
developed.

5. Adapting to Company Culture: Each organization has its unique work culture and
