organized by the organization profession, in matter this in Indonesia is
Unity Indonesian National Nurse (PPNI).

committed to the profession nursing. Applicable rules for a Indonesian

violation ethics can avoided.

B. PURPOSE OF THE CODE OF NURSING ETHICS

Purpose of implementation of the Code of ethics in Nursing are :

client or patient, friend peers, society, and elements profession, fine in
profession nursing nor with other professions outside profession
nursing.

e. By practitioners nursing that doesn't heed deep moral dedication
implementation his job.

C. INDONESIAN NURSING ETHICS CODE

Applicable rules for a Indonesian nurse in carry out task / function

of conduct nursing Indonesia :

a. Nurse and Client

1) Nurse in give service nursing value honor and dignity human,

ethnicity, skin color, age, gender, sect adopted politics and
religion position social.

respectful environment values culture, custom traditions and
continuity life religious client.

authorities in accordance with provision applicable law.

b. Nurses and Practice

1) Nurse maintain and improve competence in the field nursing
through Study constantly.

accompanied honesty implementing professionals knowledge
as well as skills nursing in accordance with need client.
3) Nurse in make decision based on accurate and considerate

D. PRINCIPLES OF THE CODE OF NURSING ETHICS

Principles necessary ethics owned by one Nurse includes :

a. Autonomy
Principle autonomy is form respect to someone, or looked at as
agreement no force and act in a manner rational. Practice professional
 reflect autonomy moment nurse value rights client in make decision
about maintenance himself.
b. Do good ( beneficence )
Beneficence means, only do something good, kindness, need
prevention from error or crime, erasure error or crime and increase
kindness to self and others. Sometimes, deep situation service health,
happened conflict between principle this with autonomy.
c. Justice
This value reflected in practice professional when nurse work for
correct therapy in accordance law, standard correct practices and
beliefs for obtain quality service health.
d. No harm ( Nonmaleficence )
Principle this means no raises danger/injury physical and
psychological on the client.
e. Honesty (Veracity)
This value required by the giver service health for convey truth in
every client and for convincing that clients really understand.
Information must there in order to be accurate, comprehensive, and
objective for facilitate understanding and acceptance existing material,
and tell the truth to client about all something related with
circumstances himself during undergo care.

f. Keep promise (Fidelity)

The principle of fidelity is needed individual for value promises
and commitments towards others. Nurse stay true to their
commitments and keep them promise as well as keep confidential
client. Loyalty, describe obedience nurse to code stated ethics that not
quite enough answer base from nurse is for increase health, prevention
disease, recover health and minimize suffering.
g. Confidentiality
 Rule in principle secrecy is information about client must guarded
privacy client. Nothing nobody can obtain information the except if
permitted by the client with proof approval. Discussion about client
outside the service area, convey to friends or family about client with
power other health must avoided.
h. Accountability
Accountability is definite standard that action a professional can
rated in situation that is not clear or without except.

E. ARTICLE OF NURSING CODE OF ETHICS

Article 36 of the Law Number 38 of 2014, Article 56 Law no. 36 of 2009,
as well Article 11 Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of
