Instructions: The following are BIR Forms used in paying different Taxes. Discuss each BIR Form as to who and what
type of taxpayer is using the forms.

A. 1700
 BIR Form No. 1700, Annual Income Tax Return for Individuals Earning Purely Compensation Income (Including
Non-Business/Non-Profession Related Income).
 This form should be filled in by every resident citizen deriving compensation from all sources or resident alien
and non-resident citizen with respect to compensation income within the Philippines.
 Filing Date: This return is filed on or before April 15 of each year, covering income for the preceding taxable
year.

B. 1701
 BIR Form No. 1701, Annual Income Tax Return for Individuals (including MIXED Income Earner), Estates and
Trusts.
 This form should be filled in by individuals who are engaged in trade or business or the practice of a profession,
including those with mixed-income in accordance with Sec. 5 of the Code. The annual income tax return
summarizes all the transactions covering the calendar year of the Taxpayer.
 Filing Date: This return is filed on or before April 15 of each year, covering income for the preceding taxable
year.

C. 1701A
 BIR Form No. 1701A, Annual Income Tax Return for Individuals Earning Income PURELY from Business or
Profession. *Those under the graduated income tax rates with OSD as a mode of deduction OR those who opted
to avail of the 8% flat income tax rate.
 This form should be filed by a self-employed individual or freelancer who is earning from his/her profession and
aiming to avail the 8% income tax rate and Optional Standard Deductions under Graduated Rates. The type of
taxpayer who is using this form is a resident citizen (within and without the Philippines) and a resident alien, non-
resident citizen, or non-resident alien (within the Philippines)
 Filing Date: This return is filed on or before April 15 of each year, covering income for the preceding taxable
year.

D. 1701Q
 BIR Form No. 1701Q, Quarterly Income Tax Return for Individuals, Estates and Trusts Description.
 This return shall be filed by individual income earners regardless of whether they are resident citizens, non-
resident citizens, resident aliens, or non-resident aliens.
 Filing Date:
 1st Quarter, on or before May 15 of the current taxable year
 2nd Quarter, on of before August 15 of the current taxable year
 3rd Quarter, on or before November 15 of the current taxable year

E. 1702
 BIR Form No. 1702, Annual Income Tax Return for Corporation, Partnership and Other Non-Individual Taxpayer
Subject only to Regular Income Tax Rate.
 This form shall be filed by non-individuals taxpayers whose earnings are subject to income tax rate of 30%.
 Filing Date: This return is filed, with or without payment, on or before the 15 th day of the 4th month following
close of the taxpayer’s taxable year.

F. 1702Q
 BIR Form No. 1702Q, Quarterly Income Tax Return for Corporations, Partnerships and Other Non-Individual
Taxpayers.
 This return shall be filed quarterly by every corporation, partnership, joint stock companies, joint accounts,
associations, government-owned or controlled corporations, agencies, and instrumentalities.
 Filing Date: The corporate quarterly income tax return shall be filed with or without payment within sixty days
following the close of each of the first three quarters of the taxable year, whether calendar or fiscal year.

G. 2551Q
 BIR Form No. 2551Q, Quarterly Percentage Tax Return Description.
 This return shall be filed by individuals and businesses subject to the Percentage Tax.
 The return shall be filed, and the tax paid within twenty days after the end of each taxable quarter.
