ACADEMIC WORK EXPERIENCE
- He taught Gonzo Journalism at the Knight Center for Jounalism in the Americas, in the University
of Texas at Austin.
- He was invited by UNESCO as an international speaker at the Citizen Journalism workshop, in
Panama City (2012)
- He ran First-Person Journalism workshops at Revista Anfibia [Anfibia Journal] and the Tomás Eloy
Martínez Foundation.
- He taught the modules Written Expression I and III, as well as Editing Graphic Media in the
Journalism degree at the University of Belgrano.
- He was Senior Lecturer on the Journalistic Writing course at the University of Business and Social
Sciences (UCES) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he was selected as one of the best lecturers
teaching the degree.
- In 2018, he launched an online journalism teaching platform: Writing Team.
- In 2021, he launched an Islamic education platform Madrasa Rabbani which offers several
workshops to Spanish speakers across Latin America.
WORK EXPERIENCE IN PRINT MEDIA (ARGENTINA)
- In 2006, he was editor-in-chief of the weekly news magazine Newsweek (Argentina), one of the
most widely read weekly newspapers with the largest number of editions worldwide. He was
selected and approved by a board of directors at Newsweek’s central headquarters in New York,
USA.
- For a period of 12 years, he worked at Revista Noticias as a special editor, sub-editor, columnist
and editor.
- Editor-in-chief at the newspaper Crítica de la Argentina.
WORK EXPERIENCE IN PRINT MEDIA (ABROAD)
- He wrote exclusive articles for media outlets all over the world: LOFT Magazine (USA), Revista
Poder (Mexico), Revista Gatopardo (Colombia), Diario La Prensa (Panama), Revista Carta Capital
(Brazil), Revista Fibra (Chile), Revista Etcétera (Mexico), Diario El País (Uruguay), Revista Soho
(Colombia) and Revista Cosas (Chile).
- He was the Buenos Aires correspondent for Estado de San Pablo, Brazil’s second most widely
read newspaper.
AWARDS FOR JOURNALISTIC WORK
- In 2000, he was awarded the Pléyade Prize for the best current affairs piece of the year, this is
one of the most prestigious awards for journalism in Argentina.
- In 2001, the TEA School of Journalism in Argentina, named him Journalist of the Year under the
‘Magazines’ category.

- El Secreto de Cortázar [Cortazar’s Secret] (1999), published by Belgrano.
A work of historical research about an unknown period of one of the greatest Argentinian writers:
Julio Cortazar. It received reviews from several newspapers and magazines including: Clarín, El
Día, Estado de San Pablo (Brazil), y La República (Uruguay), Noticias, Nueva, and Qué Pasa (Chile).
It was also reviewed on the radio channel El Mundo and the radio programme La Tribu, as well as
on the TV channel El Aleph.
- Rodrigo superstar [2002], published by Planeta.
An unauthorised biography of the most famous and dramatic cuarteto singer in Argentina.
The book was reviewed by the following media outlets: La Nación, Nueva, Rolling Stone, Noticias,
Página 12, Ámbito Financiero, several radio and TV programmes. The research was praised and
replicated.
- Yo fui un porno star [I Was A Porn Star] (2006), published by Cuenco del Plata.
An anthology of Cicco’s most original articles. It was praised and reviewed by the newspaper,
Perfil and the magazines Siete Días and 23.
- Gurdjieff para principiantes [Gurdjieff For Beginners], published by Errepar.
An illustrated account of the Russian mystic, George Gurdjieff, with forthcoming new editions in
several countries.
- Zen para principiantes [Zen For Beginners], published by Errepar.
An illustrated history of Zen Buddhism.
- Rock and roll Islam. La conversion menos pensada [Rock and Roll Islam: An Unexpected
Conversion] (2020), published by Tusquets.
The book was mentioned in media outlets in Mexico, Chile, Uruguay and Argentina.
