Disagreement over states’ rights was the main cause of the civil war in the
beginning. The states started to secede from the union which started an outrage.

No, because there were many causes of the war and tensions were high.

Yes, because he did not want to start a war or have the united states separate.

I do not think states have the right to secede today because the united states
works as a union. And the same reason they seceded in the 1850s are not the
same anymore.

The North had greater resources.

Winfield Scott, he created the idea to strangle the south using naval ports. The
naval ports would be used to block the Mississippi river from the south.

It freed the slaves in the rebellions states and allowed them to fight in the war.
9. Why did the North win the Civil War?
The Appomattox courthouse decision, where lee surrendered to grant.
10.What were the consequences of the Civil War?
600,000 people died fighting the war. And 4 million slaves were freed.
