Thalia

Born in Mexico City on August 26, 19 71, her full name is Ariana Thalia Sodi Miranda, but the world
knows her as Thalia. The jungle of five sisters, she wanted to be a singer and actress from an early
age. she started singing professionally at the age of 10 in a children’s group called Din Din. the
group sold 4,000,000 CD's! then, in 1986, she enjoys Mexico's most popular teen vans at that time,
Timbiriche.

The next year, while she was still singing in Timbiriche, she started in her first soap opera, Pobre
señorita Limantur, The public loved her, and she went on two start in many more soap operas
throughout the 90’s. The Maria trilogy (Maria Mercedes, marimar, and Maria la del barrio) help us
to make her a superstar on Spanish language channels around the world. she became known as
“the queen of soap operas”.
