Installers on CDs and DVDs days have already passed. Today, USB Drives have been used as medium for
installers. Aside from its speed and portability, it is also easy to use because you don’t have to need a
CD/DVD Drives to install. The following are the procedures on preparing installer in USB Drives.

3 Things to need:
1. Software – We will use the Power ISO
2. Operating System Image file – Image files are exact copy of the Installers contained in CD-
Installer. Image files may have *.iso, *.img, or *.ngr.
We have the following Operating Systems
Server: Window Server 2008
Client: Windows 7
Windows 8
Windows 10
3. Flash Drive – at least 8GB (since Windows Server has 7GB of size).

Step 1:
Open Power ISO thought clicking Start -> All Programs -> PowerISO -> PowerISO. You may also
search PowerISO.

OR
Step 2:
Insert the USB Flash Drive where you wanted to write the installer.
Now, select Tools -> Create Bootable USB Drive…

Click OK. Then, click Yes when User Access Control confirms that you wanted
to run the software as administrator.
Step 3:
The Dialog Below will appear.
Click the button to select the image file. In this example, I selected windows 10.img.
Select the Destination USB Drive Dropdown list and select the target USB flash Drive.
Then click Start. Click Import if prompted for import partition. Then click OK to confirm.
The process starts. It may take some time to write the data to the flash drive so be patient.
Step 4:
After the writing of installer succeeded, PowerISO will prompt you. You may close the application
and eject the flash drive.

The flash drive now can be used to install Windows 10 (for this instance). If you wanted to change
the content and decided to create an installer for windows 7, then just follow the same procedure
but make sure to select the right image file to write in your flash drive.
