Question- Group to take the role of Tim McIntyre, Vice-president of Communications for Dominos
Pizza International, sitting at the boardroom table in the emergency meeting called by the Dominos
President, Patrick Doyle. Patrick Doyle has decided to address all the concerns in a responding
YouTube video post.
Answer- Dominoes is at a position right now, where the importance of the social media world
accentuated itself in a profound way. Their undermining of the social media world was effective in
offering a perspective as to the force that social media has slowly turned out to be – the next big
language of human interactions of the 21st Century.
This is the situation, in short, where ou suggestive answer to the question comes in and we donne the
hats of the Vice- President of Communications at Dominoes.
The Video Upload -
In order to address the concerns of the people affected by the viral dominos video, the company has
decided to upload another video on youtube to adreess the internal issues that were portrayed in the
video.
Now , since the original video appeared as a top result when Dominoes was typed into the search box,
to tackle this , an effective way could be the implementation or infusion of a few significant
keywords, keywords that will resemble the kind of words that were used in the original video. Even
though their usage is seasoned with context but SEO will filter out not only the context but will also
pick up the keywords as the only trigger for pushing up the video higher in the list of search results
suggested by Google on the typing in of the ord Dominoes. This strategic move can be adopted
without a compromise on the unpretentious truth represented by Patrick Doyle in the video. Thus,
Patrick can also be instructed to remain true and loyal to the subject addressed and not put up a false
show of concern. Thus, in a growing world of media engagements, remaining true to oneself quite
inevitably gets rewarded.
A rigorous rebuke and reprimand of the original incident is a thing that has to be done effectively first
and along with an acceptance of the fault in general, highlighting the key points where further
improvement can be done. But, at the same time, a subtle reminder for the common people about their
brand equity and how Dominoes have always served pizzas that caters to the taste of the public, must
be emphasized.
The introduction of a few strategic steps can be committed to in the video –
1. Dominoes must promise engagements on a personal level with all the minuscule groups
operating across social media.
2. The installation of cameras inside the kitchen and a live camera feed in the area where
customers come and have their pizzas can be implemented . This ill increase the transparency
beteen the two stakeholding parties and also increase in multifold the accountability that
Dominoes must exhibit.
3. Regular Hygiene inspections, or disinfection of the place at equal intervals ( probably after
every 10 days ) will be ensured. Cleanliness batches can be provided to all the outlets based
on their commendability in handling the hygiene conditions.
4. An highlight of the importance of social media and how it has the powers to shape the future
must be incorporated. A submission to the powers of social media in an humble manner , with
an optimistic turn of words, will help generate a positive attitude among the people towards
the realizations that Dominoes has gone through. Also, giving due credit to the same, for
bringing the incident to a highlight where the to offenders could be tracked don and punished.
Living in a world without social media, the same effective undertaking of stricter action might
not have been as smooth as it is now.
