SUGGESTIVE SAMPLE CV POINTS

General points to keep in mind: -


1. Try to quantify your points, numbers always look better.
2. Collect an exhaustive list of points, the one-pager can be filtered out of them at a later stage.
3. For a Competition/Rank try to collect the total number of participants as well, it adds more
value to the point.
4. It is mandatory to mention the year of achievement wherever applicable.
5. Ensure you describe the actions taken, the impact created, results achieved, and recognition
awarded (wherever possible).
6. The list below is not exhaustive but is for reference. Feel free to add more points that are
relevant.

Listed below are various points that can be put under the given headers:

1. Academic Achievements:
● Any rank held in School/College/University/State/National/International level.
● Any Scholarship received with the amount (in numeric and/or percentage whichever) if
applicable.
● Any felicitation: name of the felicitating body, number of eligible candidates, any other detail of
significance.
● Any award won in the academic domain along with the requirement fulfilled for the same.

2. Papers Published:
● The platform (national/international) where the paper is published.
● The viewership of the journal augmented with its Citescore/SNIP/SJR/ Journal Ranking.
● Number of citations of the article/ paper.
● If the paper was presented on a platform, the significance of the same (national/international).
augmented with the footfall and any recognitions as applicable.
● The topic of the research.
● Your key contributions to the research paper.
● The key outcome and if they were implemented the quantitative and/or qualitative impact thus
created.

3. Projects/Seminars
● Year and the scale of the project
● Roles and responsibilities
● The impact that you created through the project.
● Quantify the impact through numbers such as profit, revenue, number of stakeholders involved,
savings, etc.
● Recognition for the same (if any)
● If the project led you to a job offer, the same can be mentioned.
● For academic projects, the grades (if any) can be mentioned as well.
● Title of the seminar along with the role - attendee/organizer/speaker etc.
4. Work Experience

Sample 1 – Social Media Manager, Digital Marketer

Sample 2 – Web Developer


• During the training period my group was awarded as the best project team in 2021. The project
was aimed at building a web application for conducting online examinations for recruitment.
The following technologies were used – dotnet framework, angular and SQL server. We were
selected for the above-mentioned award out of 16 competing teams. For the same, I led a team
of 3.
• During my tenure I worked on 2 projects – Sitecore Content Management (1 year) and WCC (6
months). XYZ (the world’s biggest asset management firm) was my client. I built and
maintained websites that would provide employee benefits to clients.
• I was a part of the daily client interactions where I would provide them with status updates. I
built MI and 48 biweekly reports to be circulated to the client leadership incorporating project
deliverables, expected deadlines, and contingencies. In absence of the team lead, I also
delegated work among the team and managed all channels of communication.
• I trained 4 new resources for their respective projects which led to their early onboarding. I was
also responsible for monitoring their deliverables.
• Produced timely deliverables by deploying more than 20 live websites to facilitate employee
benefits in the span of 3 months. This accelerated the client businesses.
• Was a part of the development team where we developed a new product called Datahub Admin
that automated a manual process of data loading to increase productivity by 20%. This helped
the resources to delegate their time towards other development work by reducing the monthly
man-hours by 36 hours.
• Supported a major inter-departmental database migration that involved 100+ clients by testing
every client individually over the span of 3 days.

retain aproject.

Sample 1
Selected (1 out of 1000+) by the State Women’s Commission, AICUF to moderate a panel discussion on
“Women beyond belief”. The event recorded a footfall of 120+ attendees. Navigated through complex
discussions on the intersection and separation of the influence of religion in Gender and vice versa.

Sample 1 – Vice President of a Society
Could you please verify the fact that I was the Vice President of the Computer Society of India for the
term 2018-19. I was selected for the position out of 75 eligible students to lead a 33-member team.
During my tenure, I was responsible for organizing the annual CSI seminar i.e., ‘ReLU – Artificial
Intelligence’. I was also the host of the seminar. The seminar was attended by 500+ people. Being the
Vice President I was also responsible for organizing competitions for 140+ students as a part of the
annual CSI fest. I managed communication with the staff members and 8 other committees under my
purview.

Sample 2 – Head Girl


Responsibilities
• Directed and led a 102-member student council.
• Supervised, Conceptualized, and Managed the event flow, participation, scripting, discipline,
and organization of 20+ cultural and academic events over the course of two years (May 2016-
May 2018).

batch.

school post my graduation.
