WHEREAS, Police Colonel Nicomedes P. Olaivar JR has been designated as Acting City
Director of the General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO) since August 2023;

WHEREAS, there is a necessity to fill the vacancy of the City Director for GSCPO who
can lead the police force to implement its sound mandate and programs generally, in
maintaining peace and order in the City, and more particularly in ensuring public safety, and in
deterring crimes against persons and properties;

WHEREAS, this Sangguniang Panlungsod highly recommends and supports the

appointment of Police Colonel Nicomedes P. Olaivar JR as the City Director of the GSCPO;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Richard L. Atendido for Joint Sponsorship,
duly seconded by _____be it -

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to support the endorsement of the city mayor,

Honorable Lorelie G. Pacquiao to the Philippine National Police Chief, Police General Benjamin
C. Acorda JR. through Police Regional Director Brigadier General Jimili L. Macaraeg,
recommending the appointment of Police Colonel Nicomedes P. Olaivar JR. as city director of
General Santos City Police Office
