fledged criminal syndicate with nearly
5,000 members both in and outside of
prison. The ABT, as it’s called,
combines the violence of a prison gang
and the power and money of organized
crime with Nazi ideologies, making
them a threat to members and outsiders
alike. Since its creation in the 1980s,
ABT members committed murders and
kidnappings, attempted bombings and
gained control of part of Texas’ multi-
million dollar meth trade. The Stiles
unit in Beaumont, Texas houses one of
the most notorious ABT inmates in the
Texas prison system. Bobby Adams, a
founding member of the ABT, is
currently serving life in prison for
armed robbery.
