Subject: 2nd CBSE EXPRESSION SERIES for the Academic Session 2023-24

Dear Parents,
The 2nd Expression Series for the academic session 2023-24 is being organized by CBSE on
the theme ‘G-20: India’s Vision for a Harmonious World’. The topics for each category
is given as under:

Senior Essay (1000 words) /  India’s road map to renewable energy
Secondary Painting / Poem  Measures to promote self- sufficiency
(Class 11 to 12) of food production in India

Conduct of Expression Series:


Students to submit entry as per the class category mentioned.
For participation in Expression Series activities, i.e. Essays/ Paragraphs / Paintings /
Poems etc., format given as Annexure I to be used.
Paragraphs / Essays / Poems can be written in Hindi or English.
Color to be used for Painting -
 Classes 3 to 5 – Pencil / Poster Color
 Classes 6 to 12- Poster Color
One student can submit more than one entry. The submission (s) should be original work of
the student.
Submission of Paragraphs / Essays / Poems to be done to respective Hindi / English
teacher based on the language opted for submission. Paintings to be submitted to respective
Art Teacher. Last date of submission of entries to is 18th August 2023.
Evaluation Criteria-
 Poem – Relevance to the theme, Creativity, Language
 Paragraph / Essay - Relevance to the theme, Organization of the Content , Language
 Painting - Relevance to the theme, Neatness, Creativity, Overall Presentation
Schools shall shortlist one entry per class category (total 04 entries from a school) for onward
Submission to CBSE.
10 best entries of each category will be selected by each CBSE Regions for selection of
winners at National Level.
Three best entries will be selected at the national level. All of these best entries shall be
compiled in the form of a booklet for display on CBSE website.
10 best entries at the Regional Level (160 entries from 16 ROs) and 03 best entries at
the National Level will be given an online certificate of merit by the Board.
The decision of the evaluation committee shall be final and no correspondence will be
entertained in this regard.
