Dear audience, let me introduce my self, my name is Zulfiqriyahtul Muaeni, i am in grade twelft of the
scince program, delegate from MAN BANTAENG school.

On this occasion, allow me to deliver a speech entitled:

*"Protecting Nature, Inheriting Our Culture "*

Ladies and gentlemen.

Has our nature been well protected?

Are we among those who protect nature?

We need time to reflect on our nature. As we know, nature is the environment in which we live and the
environment in which we live our lives. So it is fitting that we think about the preservation of Indonesian
Nature as our common culture.

Ladies and Gentlemen...

This nature has existed for several centuries and as time progressed, the condition of nature began to
deteriorate. Many of us are less concerned about the environment so that environmental sustainability
is no longer maintained. Facts show that many disasters occur due to human actions, such as floods,
landslides, tsunamis, fires, and so on. One example is the many natural disasters that occur because we
throw garbage in any place and our lack of awareness in terms of waste management, so that garbage is
scattered everywhere.

Based on a world bank report, Indonesia ranks 5th in waste generation in the world, after China, the
United States, India, and Brazil. This happens because of our lack of awareness in protecting nature.

Data from the National Waste Management Information System (SIPSN) of the Ministry of Environment
and Forestry (KLHK) reported on the KEMENKO PMK (Coordinating Ministry for Human Development
and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia) page shows that in 2022 the amount of Indonesia's waste will
reach 21.1 million tons and approximately 7.2 tons of Indonesia's waste has not been managed properly.

That is why we must protect nature by preserving it. There are many ways that can be done such as
throwing garbage in its place, managing waste by using the 3R principle (reduce, reuse, and recycle),
providing the environment, greening nature by planting trees, not cutting down trees illegally, cleaning
the environment, recycling waste, and many more things that can be done so that our nature can be
protected.

Ladies and Gentlemen...

Indonesia is widely spread from Sabang to Marauke. Indonesia is rich in natural wealth and distinctive
culture. If we cannot protect nature, how can we pass on culture to the next generations. So let's
together realize an Indonesia that loves cleanliness and always protects nature so that we can inherit
our beloved Indonesian culture.

Greetings Indonesian students,

Realize a brilliant Indonesia✨
