This research focuses on helping students manage the fear of public speaking that affects
oral communication skills. A dependent sample test was used to identify significant differences
between scores before and after students' Public Speaking Anxiety Personal Report (PRPSA)
test developed by McCroskey. Students' levels of oral communication skills before and after the
intervention were also measured using the same statistical tools. The Pearson correlation was
used to determine the association between fear of public speaking and verbal communication
skills. In addition, we used thematic analysis to group student responses with respect to their
experience of intervention activities.

The study found Popsispeak to be an effective intervention to improve students' oral

communication skills and reduce their fear of public speaking. (Pontillas ,2020)

Summary:
The study evaluates factors affecting public speaking in boosting self-confidence. It emphasizes
the importance of building self-confidence in achieving goals and promoting awareness of
classmates. To improve self-confidence, the researchers recommend actively participating in
public speaking activities, creating motivational activities, and implementing school-based
activities to strengthen and increase high school students' self-confidence.

The study found that learner attitudes are considered to be one of the most important
factors influencing language learning. The results show that both HumSS and ABM students
have a positive attitude towards speaking in English and that speaking in English is generally
important to them. However, these students said that their English is not very good, they are
afraid of making mistakes when speaking in English, and they are afraid of being laughed at if
they make mistakes when speaking. Students also believe that they need to learn to speak
English because they may need it in their future jobs, and they believe that with practice they
will become better at speaking English. The study found no significant differences in student
attitudes toward speaking in English when grouped by faculty or gender. The implications of
these findings are reflected in the emphasis on the importance of instructional motivation in
improving students' attitudes towards speaking in English. (Malenav, 2018)

Summary:
The study reveals that learner attitudes are crucial for language learning. HUMSS students have
a positive attitude towards speaking English, but fear mistakes and being laughed at. They
believe they need to improve their English skills for future jobs and believe with practice, they
will become better. No significant differences were found by faculty or gender. The findings
emphasize the importance of instructional motivation in improving students' attitudes towards
speaking English.
The purpose of this study was to assess the factors that influence public speaking in
boosting self-confidence. The importance of this subject is how it can build self-confidence in
achieving goals and make students aware of the presence of their classmates. However, stress
can make it difficult to feel better because the symptoms are difficult to control. This study aims
to help students progress without losing confidence.

Based on this result, the researchers made the following recommendations:

• Students should actively participate in classes and other public speaking activities at school.
• Teachers should create more activities to motivate students and boost their confidence.
• School leaders should continue to implement school activities that strengthen and increase the
self-confidence of high school students. (Castro, Cabugnason, Danaytan & Tamon, 2020)

Summary:
The study evaluates factors affecting public speaking in boosting self-confidence. It emphasizes
the importance of building self-confidence in achieving goals and promoting awareness of
