WARNING!
In order to reduce the risk of serious injury from impact or injec-
tion, never point the high-pressure jet at persons or animals.
Never direct the nozzle or fluid streams at any part of your body.

WARNING!
The machine’s operating pressure is printed on the side of the
control panel of the high pressure cleaner. Only use a high pressure
hose which is designed and approved for the machine’s operating
pressure and temperature.

WARNING!
Your unit produces poisonous exhaust fumes as soon as the auxil-
iary/chassis engine is running. These gases (e.g. carbon monoxide)
may be colorless and odorless. To reduce the risk of serious or fatal
injury from breathing toxic fumes, never run the high-pressure
cleaner indoors or in poorly ventilated locations. Ensure proper
ventilation when working in confined areas. Do not attempt to
move the machine by pulling the high-pressure hose. Replace
damaged high-pressure hoses immediately.

WARNING!
An underrated, damaged, or improperly used hose can explode
from high pressure and may result in serious injury from exploding
material or loss of control.

Vacuum System and Boom Safety
• Boom load not to exceed 300 lbs. (if equipped)
• Never leave vacuum system unattended.
• Do not use vacuum system for anything other than manufac-
tur’s specified activities.
• Use protective eyewear and clothing when operating vacuum
system.
• Keep all body parts clear of suction end of the vacuum hose;
personal injury can occur.
• Do not transport unit without first securing boom into trans-
port position.
• Do not get under debris tank when raised unless body prop is
in place.
• Never tilt debris body on uneven ground. (if equipped)
• Use extreme caution when dumping debris body.
• Always stand clear of debris body door when dumping.
• Vacuum can create sudden and violent movement of the hose
and related tools.
• Lowering the end of the hose into water (submersing the end)
can suddenly and violently pull the hose, tools, and operator
into the work area causing bodily injury and equipment dam-
age.
• The vacuum hose can and may clog if too much material is
introduced to the end of the hose at one time.
• Running water through the hose while running the vacuum
will in most cases assist in clearing debris from the hose.
• Materials with clay or lime may require continuous water to
be added to the material stream to assist in keeping the hose
clear.
• The blower should be engaged/disengaged (turned on/off) at
engine idle. Turning the blower off and on at high engine rpm’s
may cause system damage.
• All vacuum hose should be inspected for breaks and wear
points. Tape can be utilized temporarily to patch the hole or
tear.
• The operator must be aware of the potential for electrocution
when using metal tubing in a digging environment. Rubber
hose is highly recommended when digging near electrical
power.

Water Jetting Procedure
The following steps and procedures will aid you in the operation of your
sewer cleaner. For safety reasons, it is recommended that only factory-
trained personnel run this equipment.

1. Close drain valves and make sure strainer is clean and has cap
installed.
2. Before attaching hose to hydrant, flush hydrant then attach to refill
inlet. Open tank lid and fill tank to capacity with clean water to avoid
clogging strainers and nozzles.
. Secure Safety Lanyard to control panel and clip on belt loop of opera-
tor. Note: When water in tank is low and pump loses pressure, refill
tank. It is not recommended that the pump be run dry. If unit is out
of water, the engine should never be run above idle speed.
. Make sure water control valve is in by-pass position.
. Start auxiliary engine
. Position level wind over the center of the manhole.
7. Install tiger tail over hose. Note: Always use hose guides to protect
hose from damage caused by rubbing against sharp edges. Failure
to do so could result in shortening the life of the hose. Use of a skid
assembly and leader hose is recommended. (Refer to Proper nozzle
setup diagram on page 12)
. Install nozzle and skid.
. Position the hose through the hose guides on the reel.
10. If hydraulic, use hydraulic control valve handle to unwind the hose
from the reel. Both the control valve and the needle valve can regu-
late speed of the reel.
11. Lower nozzle to proper position in the opening of the pipe.
12. Put hose into the sewer line jet upstream to the normal flow of water
with adequate slack for nozzle to travel into the line.
1. Engage pressure to allow nozzle to travel at least 5 feet up the line or
the length of the leader hose. (Never do this if nozzle is not in plain
sight, ex: surcharged manhole)
1. Disengage the water pressure so that the tiger tail can be positioned
properly against the lip of the pipe and secured with the rope.
1. With engine at idle, pull water valve handle to pressure position to let
water pressure will begin to rise. Note: Changing water valve position
under high pressure shortens valve life.
1. Check for maximum RPM and pressure. Gradually open throttle until
desired pressure is reached.
