With the rise in popularity of social media, the usage of it has also made its way into the
education system due to the benefits of it to both students and teachers. It also makes
the things that are impossible before possible. There are two main advantages of social
media.

The first advantage of social media is it enable the students and teachers to
communicate between one another no matter the distance . Sharing information ,files
,pictures and videos are much easier now . Classes or even meetings can also be made
in real time online. Even in higher education students ,instructors and others also work
together on task of knowledge construction. Some of the most favourites in the realm of
internet sites are Facebook, Twitter, blogs, Youtube, Instagram, google doc and others.
These websites and social forums are way of communication directly with other people
socially and in the media (Kuruva, et al., 2019).

The other advantage of social media is that it provided the students with a more
enjoyable learning environment compared to the conventional classroom-based
teaching and learning (Suraya, et al., 2015) .Students are also more likely to give their
opinions in the online environment because they feel more relaxed.Technology also
bring fun to students who are shy. This gives the educators opportunity to leverage and
make learning more fun and enjoyable for the students by using familiar and fun social
technologies.

In conclusion,there are a lot of advantages in using social media in education fo both

students and teachers.
