Prof. Unnat P Pandit is visionary IP Professional and ‘Innovation Guru’ who has done pioneering work
among students to be Entrepreneur. He moved from the bureaucratic role at NITI Aayog to Academics
whiling dealing, managing, consulting, advising complexity of IP, Innovation Deployment, and bringing
novel products and services through cutting edge research & development, technology advancement
offering innovative solutions from concept to commercial success.
Prof Pandit is engaged in mentoring startups & tech developers. Prof. Pandit is an ingenious professional
carrying 20 Yrs of experience in dealing with techno-commercial activities, protecting intellectual
property (IP), Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship Management. He served in various
development fields starting from research, academics, pharmaceuticals linked to IP-Innovation, Skill,
and Entrepreneurship.
He is currently leading a B-School as Dean of Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and
Entrepreneurship at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
Academic Background:
 M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry and Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from Maharaja
Krishnakumar Bhavnagar University under University & Industry Collaborative Research Project
with Alembic Limited.
 The area of doctoral research was ‘Medicinally Important Heterocycles’ wherein designed and screened
the novel Heteroycles having Norfloxacin nuclei.
 Three patents are granted by The Indian Patent office to protect IP of novel 154 compounds on this
doctoral research.
 Awarded LLB in general law from Gujarat University and a specialized PG Diploma in
patents law from NALSAR University of Law.
 An Executive General Management Program (EGMP) from Indian Institute of
Management, Lucknow.
 Bachelor’s in Communication, Journalism and Public Relations (BCJP) from Gujarat

Publications:
 has published ~16 research paper/scientific review articles in journals of international and
national repute among which 08 are patent applications filed with patent office on different
scientific inventions wherein Three patents are granted.
 has written three books on Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam with the focus of readership among school and
graduate-level students. The books were released by Former Defense Minister Shri Manohar
Parrikar and Former MHRD Shri Prakash Javadekar in 2016. The book was also presented to
Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi.
 These books are dedicated to students and youth of India in memory of Dr. Kalam,
 Do You Know: Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam? by Grapewine Publications, New Delhi.
