a private air-conditioned vehicle for a drive to discover the beauty of Alexandria and the Greco Roman civilization. You will first get to visit the Catacombs of Kom El-Shouqafa, the largest known Roman burial site in Egypt, with three tiers of tombs that could accommodate up to 300 corpses. It was converted to be a public cemetery. You will proceed to the Pillar of Pompey, composed of a single block approximately 25m of red granite column from Aswan. it was once a magnificent structure rivaling the Soma and the Caesareum. You will then move to the Roman Theatre which was discovered after over 30 years of excavation. Here you will get to see many things left behind by the Romans which include this well-preserved theatre with galleries, sections of mosaic-flooring, and marble seats for up to 800 spectators. You can then have lunch at a sea view restaurant. After lunch you will get to see the Qaitbay Citadel from outside, considered one of the most important defensive strong holds not only in Egypt but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast, and is located where the light house once stood. Your last stop of our tour will be the Library of Alexandria, the largest most significant library of the ancient world, located where the old library of Alexandria once stood. You will then be driven back to your hotel in Cairo. Please note that you will start by 7 o’clock and return around 6 o’clock
