01 Giving Instructions

Instructions
Write a set of directions for the following persons to get to the entrance of your school:

➢ a seven-year-old kid
➢ a person on a wheel chair
➢ a deaf person

A seven-year-old kid
The first thing I'll do is make sure I have the child's full attention while I give the instructions. Because
he/she is a child, I will accompany him/her up to the area where the tricycles are located. Then I'll make it
clear what the child needs to do. I'll tell the child that when he or she arrives, all he or she needs to do is
go inside the school and into their classroom. I'll tell the driver which school the child needs to attend.
Following that, I will remind the child of what he or she is supposed to do.

A person on a wheel chair

The first thing I'll do is ask if I can accompany the person; if they say yes, I'll help them up to the terminal
and tell them to tell the driver where they're going to school. Then I will politely ask him or her if he or
she requires assistance getting in and out of the vehicle. If the person agrees, I will offer to assist her
until he/she arrives at school.

A deaf person
To begin, I must be aware of the person's comprehension. If the person cannot lip read or communicate
in any other way, I will use my phone because I do not know how to use sign language. I'll first ask
him/her if he/she requires assistance. If he/she agrees, I will kindly direct the individual to another
location. I will accompany him/her to the terminal of their preferred mode of transportation. Then I'll tell
the driver or conductor where he or she is going to school. And then I'll ask the person if she or he
requires any additional assistance. If the person agrees, I will gladly walk them through the entire
process.
