Genre And Author:

Ray Bradbury's dystopian book "Fahrenheit 451" was first
released in 1953. It is a work of science fiction. The American
writer Ray Bradbury (1920–2012) is renowned for his work in
science fiction, fantasy, and horror. In his writings, Bradbury
often mixed social commentary, elegant prose, and
imaginative storytelling. His other well-known books include
"The Martian Chronicles," "Something Wicked This Way
Comes," and "The Illustrated Man."

Main Characters:
Guy Montag: Montag, the story's main character, works as a
fireman who burns books as part of his duties. As the
narrative develops, Montag starts to consider his place in
society and his desire to comprehend the importance of
literature.

Mildred Montag, Guy Montag's wife, is presented as being

totally enmeshed in today's superficial and technologically
oriented culture. She is a perfect example of how the novel's
conformist society is portrayed.
Captain Beatty: Beatty is the fire department's captain and
Montag's boss. He enjoys reading, yet he agrees with the
government's censoring measures. Beatty acts as a
counterpoint to Montag's increasing curiosity or discontent.

Plot:
The novel "Fahrenheit 451" is set in a world where reading is
forbidden and the role of the firefighters is to burn books
rather than put out fires. Firefighter Guy Montag first takes
joy in his work but faithfully according to official directives.
Montag starts to doubt his culture, though, following an
accidental encounter with Clarisse, who introduces him to
the beauties of reading and critical thought.

Themes:
The story explores the themes of uniformity and isolation, as well
as the cruel implications of a culture that encourages
individualism and critical thought.
