Answer the following questions:

Q1. Find the area of the given quadrilateral ABCD. (3 )

Q2 Construct a quadrilateral DEAR, in which DE=4cm, EA= 5cm, AR=4.5cm, ∠E= 600 ,
∠A= 900 . Write steps of construction. (3+1= 4).

Q3. Find C.I. on Rs. 12600 for 2 years at 10% per annum compounded annually. (4)

Q5 If h= 10cm, c= 6cm, b=12cm and d= 4cm, find the area of WXYZ.
Verify it by putting the values of h, a and b in the expression h(a+b) (3+2=5).

Q6. Can a polyhedron have 12 faces, 30 edges and 20 vertices? Verify using Eulers
formula. (3)

Q7. How many coins , 0.7cm in radius and 0.2cm thick, to be melted to form a right
circular cylinder of height 4cm and radius 14cm? (3)

Q8. The lengths of the diagonals of a rhombus are 8cm and 6cm. Find its area ,the
length of its sides and its height. (2 +2+1= 5)

Q9. (a) Find the square root of 12.25


(b) Find the cube root of 17576 (4)

Q10 On a particular day, the sales(in rupees) of different items of a baker’s shop are
given below:
Ordinary bread. 320
Fruit bread. 80
Cake and pastries. 160
Biscuits 120
Others. 40.
Total. 720 (3+2=5)
