Nilgarf lore

In times of chaos and destruction, when monsters plagued the continent, terrorizing travelers,
there were hardly any great walls to hide behind, no light in the midst of the darkness. Due to
this, the collective work of all three factions brought forth the mighty city of Nilgarf, surrounded
by walls and guards, still standing in glory today. It provides homes for many, and serves as a
decade old residence for many families.

Rarely is there ever a city without any leaders to govern it, only being controlled by the people
and ambassadors from the three factions. The city streets of Nilgarf are a place where you
could hackle for a lower price on some food, or purchase some vanity items. The city is safe
enough for children to roam free. The many guards that protect the city are friendly and kind to
the residents, providing a welcoming environment for all.

However, under the facade of a peaceful, bustling city, there lies a more sinister part to this
grand place. Under the cover of darkness, as the city streets begin to shut down for the night, a
whole new one starts to open underneath. The Nilgarf black market; a place where you could
hire assassins, buy illegal goods, or do other heinous acts and have the privilege of getting
away with it. Many common merchants on the surface reside to the black market and sell more
exotic and...less than legal goods, all to make a quick buck. Even when guards stumbled upon
the market, they could be paid easily to turn a blind eye and continue the operation. It was the
ultimate ruse, a city of darkness disguised by the city of light.
