Expert warn climate change could lead to ‘extenction of humanity’

My thoughts on this article are that the effects of climate change can include
increasing temperatures, greater hurricanes, more frequent floods, a longer and
more intense wildfire season, and upsetting the natural order. The inability to
forecast when it will rain or be hot is now an issue. Scientists caution that the
human race would endure "untold suffering" if climate change were ignored. But
may climate change lead to the extinction of mankind if things get that much
worse? If we only look at the direct effects of climate change, there is some good
news: it is unlikely to result in mass extinction, despite what scientists predict will
happen if it is not controlled. However, it's likely that climate change will continue
to endanger the lives of hundreds of millions of people, for example, by causing a
shortage of food and water, which might cause a social breakdown and pave the
way for international conflict. The first step in resolving this issue is to raise
awareness of it, lessen our carbon footprint, stop felling trees, and cease using
fossil fuels like coal and oil. Finally, we should vote for leaders who recognize the
importance of valuing environmental concerns.
