Research Design

In this study, the survey approach was used. A survey is a research technique

used to expose participants' opinions and attitudes at a certain moment in time and

under specific circumstances, allowing researchers to generalize about the topic under

study more quickly. This technique is often referred to as collecting little quantities of

data from lots of people using standardized forms (Robson, 2002). According to

Büyüköztürk et al. (2014), the purpose of survey research is to explain the

characteristics of large populations and offer a chance to respond to questions like

what, where, how frequently, to what extent, and how. The researchers gathered data

and information through the use of a printed survey questionnaire for face-to-face

interviews and an online survey through a Google form. The surveys were also

delivered via direct messages sent by the researchers on Messenger.

Reliability Test

One issue with road network reliability analysis is the use of a set of link

reliability, which can only be effectively evaluated if enough statistical data is given

as an input. However, acquiring these data is challenging since there are few

techniques for obtaining the data necessary. As a result, there have been few studies

on approaches for estimating connection dependability. Furthermore, in the majority

of them, the connection dependability was predefined and assessed using a

predetermined value. As a result, the processing technique for an actual network's

input value has not been defined, resulting in considerable inaccuracy while

conducting a road network reliability study using real networks. The connection

dependability evaluation approach in a natural disaster setting differs greatly

depending on the type of natural disaster. For example, if a flood happens, all links
will fail at the same time; hence, the network's dependability is determined by its

architecture. Meanwhile, the frequency of slope failures is unrelated to the occurrence

of slope collapses. In particular, for earthquake occurrences, the set of link reliability

is critical and difficult to establish, because infrastructure damage is dependent on the

strength of the earthquake, which is connected with broken fault location, wave

transmission, and ground shaking. Because these are random variables, predicting the

likelihood of a road structure being destroyed is challenging. According to Kameda et

al. (1997), disaster preventive procedures are carried out based on sufficient

seismological data on the unique manner of setup of the earthquake. As a result, a

technique for statistically and logically analyzing processes, specifications, and

ground motion characteristics of many earthquakes is necessary. However, the

collecting and statistical processing of fundamental data takes a long time, impeding

the dependability study of the road network.

This study presents the findings of a reliability test for the Assessment for

Disaster Engagement, a tool that can be used to monitor the frequency and nature of

collaborative activities between local health departments and community-based and

faith-based organizations for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.

Data Gathering Procedure

The researchers used Google Forms using Messenger to contact participants in

a face-to-face and online survey as part of the data collection process. They got a

personalized, direct communication from the researchers that included the survey's

instructions, a link to the questionnaire form, and the survey's questionnaire itself,

allowing for additional survey diffusion. Additionally, the researchers began handing
out the questionnaire to those they knew would be most able to provide accurate

responses. Be confident that every responder must complete the whole questionnaire

while conducting an online survey. The survey form comes with thorough directions

to help respondents answer the questions. After completing the questionnaire,

respondents were asked to indicate some friends or individuals they're aware of who

would be interested in participating in the study.

Using statistical methods, the survey results were precisely totaled once the

questionnaires had been gathered. In addition, before the poll was conducted, ethical

standards including confidentiality and anonymity were given. Only for the benefit of

the study and for academic purposes will the information and data collected be used.
