Having to experience climate change or knowing about it is somehow hard to

understand, you’d come up to questions like “Why should there be climate change?”,
“Why should we experience it?”, and many more questions. In my understanding
climate change is a big impact to us people especially those who are into planting crops
and other food supply that is in need of planting. Crops, mainly wheat is the most
common crop in the whole world and climate change affects it most because it is
sensitive to heat and is grown around the world. Not just the food production in land but
also the sea. Food sources are also under threat, fish catches in some areas of the tropics
are projected to fall by between 40% and 60% according to the report. This problem is
about us people now, people are the one’s who brings us closer to this catastrophe it may
be normal people or people who works for the government either way is responsible for
this calamity that’s happening, it does not only affect farmers but also us individuals
who are in need of their farming. With climate change continuing to happen, then prices
of food will increase because of the lesser production. Scientists also detected that
climate has an effect on heatwaves, droughts and flooding across the globe, this will
affect those who are poor, weak, and also the elderly people. Tim gore, a head of food
policy and climate change for Oxfam said, “The main way that most people will
experience climate change is through the impact of food, the food they eat, the price they
pay for it, and the availability and choice that they have”. Climate change will really
affect us, and we cannot ignore its catastrophic consequences on our lives and
livelihoods. “Governments across the world must stand up to the oil, gas and coal
industries, and take their foot of the fossil fuel accelerator that’s speeding us towards a
climate disaster.”, Andy Atkins said. It is true that governments should also take action
to this type of calamity. They should help those who are being affected by climate
change so that everyone would be safe and will go through this catastrophe together, for
it to end.
