CLIMATE CHANGE IS THE GREATEST THREAT FACING HUMANITY TODAY

First let us know what Climate Change is. Climate change refers to changes in climate globally,
and the effect of it can be natural disaster, pollution and it can also affect the ocean. In view of today’s
generation, climate change has become a threat to us and we are all affected by it. However, we are not
doing anything to solve this problem and in fact, humans are the reason why the climate is changing
globally. We can say that climate will continuously change in days, weeks, months, or even a decade.

All of us internationally are suffering because of climate change. I read so many articles about
climate change and it says that scientists are confident that the temperature will continuously rise in
decades due to greenhouse produced by humans. We are suffering because of ourselves too. People
nowadays are too greedy that they don’t care about the environment and who will be affected by their
actions. Mostly, rich people are the one who do the damage and the poor people will be greatly affected
by it. Don’t get us wrong but we think that we are so much aware that all of us are responsible for taking
care of our environment.

In our point of view, we are pros about the topic “Climate change is the greatest threat facing
humanity today” for the reason that this is our world-wide challenge today and the globe is becoming
more vulnerable to this change. In the first place, Climate change didn’t occur if people are organized and
informed. Even us, Filipinos struggle about Climate change. This is undoubtedly the biggest challenge
the Philippines faces today as indicated by “Greenpeace Philippines” and we strongly agree on that
statement. Climate change can be destructive, you know? Assuming that it can be harmful to our skin, it
can cause more severe storms, and it can cause heat stroke because of hotter temperature. Nevertheless,
Philippines is not the only country who is affected by the Climate change. It is world wide; each country
and even each city will suffer and endure the Climate change. It can cause loss of species, not enough
food (because of poor nutrition due to drought), and even poverty for the reason that Climate change is
destructive and devastating.

To sum it all up, since climate change has negative impacts on human life, there are many problems that
are caused by climate change, including increasing sea level, rising demand on energy, and threatening
human health. Therefore, climate change awareness must be spread in order to stop these issues so we can
live in an unharmed world, where people can live in harmony and peace. Just remember that, taking care
of our Global Warming is hard, but hard doesn’t mean it’s impossible.
