Sunday, Oct. 9, 2 p.m. The Newtown Historic Association leads an interactive walking tour of the Newtown Cemetery. It will explore the lives of some of the people who lived in the town and countryside. The tour begins at the Newtown Cemetery Chapel on East Washington Avenue. Admission is free

Monday, Nov. 14, 8 p.m. Mary Shafer, author of the book, Devastation on the Delaware Stories and Images of the Deadly Flood of 1955, will share stories of survivors and eyewitnesses of the flood. The event takes place at the Half-Moon Inn, Court Street and Centre Ave. Admission is free.

WINTER POETRY
Feb. 17, The Orangery Bucks County Community College James Richardson and Ethel Rackin will read their poetry. Richardson is the author of six books of poetry and two books of criticism, including, most recently, By the Numbers: Poems and Aphorisms, which was a finalist for the 2010 National Book Award. Rackin earned her MFA from Bard College and her Ph.D. in English Literature from Princeton. She is assistant professor of language and literature at BCCC.
