EDUC 101

(Sat. 1:00-4:00Pm)

In Educ 101 Subject it is consist of module 26 which is focus on the human Development from
birth to adulthood of human as a learner or student of this subject I am Thankful to have these
kind of learning’s most especially as a future educator in Basic education or Elementary
Education. Because we need to know the behavior of the children and also their Ability to learn
or Absorb when you are teaching to them. And in this Subject from module 1 to 26 we’re
tackled the stages of development and Developmental Task and during this module I learned
the 8 stages of development of human. And also we’re tackled the psychologist who studied
the human development, first psychologist that I can’t forget is Sigmund Freud. And Sigmund
Freud is a psychologist who studied the development of personality and also made the theory
about the unconscious and sexual.

And I have learned also the 5 stages of psychosexual development the oral stage, Anal
Stage, Phallic Stage, Latency Stage and Genital Stage And Also we’re tackled the kohlberg’s
theory of moral development the Pre Conventional Level and Conventional. And also I have
learned the 6 stages of moral development the punishment/Obedience, mutual benefit, Social
Approval, Law and Order, Social Contract and the universal Principle in the Stage 2 the mutual
Benefit in this stage I learned that if we are a teacher and we serve our student in a good
service and our Student receive a good quality of learning and as a teacher we receive
appreciation in our department and that’s what we called Mutual Benefit.

And in a module 10 the brofrnbrenner’s ecological theory and talks about 5


layer/structure the microsystem, mesosystem, exosystem, macrosystem and the chronosystem.
And we’re tackled the physical development of preschooler and I have learned during in this
stage of preschooler the physical development is focuses on the acquisition of gross and fine
motor skills and I learned that the gross motor is refers to acquiring skills that involved the large
muscles for example the children is walking, running, skipping. And also we’re tackled about
the cognitive development preschoolers and I learned the two substages of piaget’s
preoperational thought which is the symbolic substages and the intuitive substages.

,And also in module 17 the socio-emotional Development of the preschooler and in this
module I learn more about Erikson’s crisis of early childhood like for example the initiative vs
guilt and I have learned that preschoolers go through the conflict of initiative vs guilt they show
so much energy in doing imaginative play activities. In module 19 the cognitive Development of
primary Schoolers in this module I learn the importance of information-processing skills and
the different cognitive milestone in primary-schoolers. And also we’re tackled the physical
development of the intermediate pupil and I learn the different physical characteristic of
intermediate schoolers and also we’re tackled the socio-emotional Development of
intermediate schoolers and in this module I have learn more about socio-emotional
characteristics of children in their late childhood stage .
