In light of COVID-19, we have taken this opportunity to further enhance these standards while

BUREAU VERITAS SAFEGUARD LABEL: FIRST IN THE WORLD

The Hero Experiences Group was approved by Bureau Veritas, the independent global leader in
inspecting and certifying companies’ quality, health and safety, environmental protection and social
responsibility. Our Desert Safaris, Hot Air Balloon and Self-drive Boat tour companies were
the first worldwide of their kind to have secured the SafeGuardTM Hygiene Excellence and
Safety Label. This means that our protocols are compliant with local regulations, recognized
industry best practices, and approved by leading epidemiologists.

WORLD TRAVEL AND TOURISM COUNCIL’S SAFE TRAVELS

Our protocols are approved by the World Travel and Tourism Council’s ‘Safe Travels’:
Global Protocols & Stamp for the New Normal. These regulations are developed and updated
according to the World Health Organization (WHO) and CDC guidelines.

Frequently Asked Questions:
WHAT TIME WILL I BE PICKED UP?
Pickup service is provided for all Platinum Heritage and Balloon Adventures Dubai tours. We never
want our guests to be sitting for long periods in the lobby of their hotel, instead, we prefer to give
a precise pickup time. At the time of booking, you will have a 1-hour range to help you plan your
day. On the day of your safari, we will phone you at your Hotel room and advise you of the exact
pickup time. If you are not in the room, we will leave a message with the Concierge. Please phone
+971 4 440 9827 if you have not received a message by 1:00 PM on the day of your tour or 5:00
PM the day before your morning tour.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

The weather in the desert is very different than in the city. During the day, loose fitting clothes and
shoes that can be easily removed are best. May-October: Loose clothing, shorts, t-shirts. November -
April: Dress in layers as it cools down after the sun sets, especially between December and January.
Jeans, closed shoes, shirts, cardigans or even a jacket may be required on cooler nights.

WHY AM I BEING ASKED TO BOOK A PRIVATE CAR FOR CHILDREN UNDER 5

FOR MY DESERT SAFARI?

There are numerous reasons why a private vehicle is required for a child (1-5 years old) including:

* Your child’s safety is our top priority so the drive will be toned down to accommodate a younger
child. If you are sharing with others, they may not appreciate this.

* It is mandatory by law that youngsters are placed in a car seat. This would remove the
chance of seat rotation which would not be fair for everyone.

* Youngsters can get scared, sick or even cry. In this case, the drive would be cut short. If this was
the case, the other people you are sharing with would be rightfully entitled to compensation.

If a private car is still not an option, or you have a child less than 1 years old, we can arrange a
late transfer for one parent and child. This is usually arranged at a rate lower than the price of a
private car.

OUR TEAM SPEAKS YOUR LANGUAGE

Additional Information
* Children can only be accommodated after their first birthday and children between 1 and 5
years old will require a private vehicle on all our safaris.

* We cater for vegetarians and vegans. Please inform us at the time of booking. Please also let
us know if you have a special request or a food allergy, so that we can accommodate you.

* Each desert safari operates with a minimum of 2 guests with the exception of
private bookings.

* Please inform us at the time of booking if you or anyone in your party are pregnant.

* Camel rides are not suitable for pregnant women and children under 5 years old. Alternative
arrangements can be made.

* We pick up from hotels in Dubai. We are happy to pick you up from a private residence
if you book a private vehicle or we have central pickup locations in some of Dubai’s
residential areas.

* A portion of your tour fee is donated towards conservation. Please advise us if you wish to
make an additional contribution.

* There is no pick-up and drop off for HERO OdySea Boat Tours.

* Our desert venues are equipped with comfortable bathroom facilities, however showers are
not available.
