Chelsea was at best a mid table team in the late 90’s and early 2000’s .

Then Roman
Abrahmovich came and transformed this promising team into a title contender and a
European powerhouse. He did it by first removing Claudio Raineri was bringing The
Special One. That day was more than a decade ago and things have only gone upwards
from there. 4 Premier League titles, 1 Champions league , 1 Europa League , 4 FA Cups ,
3 League Cup , 2 Community Shield after the Mourinho Revolution.

And so to conclude , I would say Chelsea is a really top club with the best credentials ro
win the current season i.e. 2016–17.

According to me this chelsea club deserve to be one of the legendary team that have
ever graced the premier league. Not that i am boasting too much about the club but
seriously the benchstrenght, the manager, the passion and the teamwork that i see in the
team and during the matches is exceptional. I can list you numerous reasons in the
following why i consider them to be at par with Barcá and Real Madrid (arguably the 2
best club team in the world right now):

1. They have one of the passionate , dedicated manager in the form of

Conte, who is like a worrior in the pitch. He instills the same philosophy
and zeal in these present group of players who can die for him in the
football pitch.
2. They have a lethal striker Costa and the most decorative winger ever
played Hazard, who can wreck havoc to any top team on their day.
3. Football formation also played a big part in Chelsea's recent rejuvination
as when they converted to 3–4–3 system after a heavy loss at Emirates
in the hand of their arch-rivals Arsenal. The players got a new lease of
life to florish under this system where the excellent full backs move up
and down to contribute both in attacking and defensive sense
4. Due to the functional approach for football in chelsea club, they are very
much adaptable to any style of football. After the Abramovich era,
chelsea never played a distinct style of football due to constant change
of managers approx. 12 managers, which also made the players
accustomed to new ideas/ tactics.
These are one of many points that I noticed since 2011 when I first noticed Chelsea play
and loved their organised defensive buildup play.
