SCHOLARSHIP COMMITMENT

"Scholarship for Industrial Technology R&D Mechatronics Master Program"

Pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding signed on ............... between HERMES VIETNAM
MACHINERY COMPANY (HERMES) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and
Education (HCMUTE), HERMES offered a scholarship for the following HCMUTE graduate
student:

The student selected by HERMES and HCMUTE understood the obligation and right to receive the
scholarship. The student and HERMES agreed the terms of this "Scholarship for Industrial
Technology R&D Mechatronics Master Program" Commitment with the following terms:
1. Duration
The scholarship program lasts from March 1st, 2024 to February 28th, 2026. The student should finish
the master program before February 28th, 2026.
2. Location
The Master program is held in the Graduate Institute of Precision Engineering, National Chung Hsing
University. The student must obtain the admission from NCHU.
3. Scholarship
HERMES provides the student with totally NT$ 500,000 for the whole program. The scholarship is
deposited to the bank account in Vietnam designated by the student by 04 (four) separated
times. $NT125,000 will be deposited to the account on March 1st, 2024, September 1st 2024, March
1st, 2025 and September 1st 2025.
4. Rules
4.1. The student must submit the transcript to HERMES and HCMUTE after the end of each semester.
4.2. The student’s thesis topic should be approved by HERMES.
4.3. The student should send research report to HERMES and HCMUTE after the end of each
semester.
5. Obligation
After the student obtains the master degree, the student should report to HERMES and HCMUTE
before March 15th, 2026 and work for HERMES for at least 03 (three) years. HERMES has the right
to assign the work location of the student.
6. Service
Salary of the student after master graduation should not be lower than the employees of HERMES
with similar degree and work experiences.
7. Repayment
Under the one of the following circumstances, the student should repay HERMES the whole total
amount of the scholarship
7.1. The student left the master program voluntarily without the master degree. If the reason for
leaving the program is irresistible, the student must provide the documents to prove that the reason is
irresistible and HERMES may consider decreasing the amount of repayment.
7.2. The student fails to report to HERMES and HCMUTE and fails to work for HERMES after
obtaining the Master degree.
7.3. The student does not work for HERMES for at least three years for any reason, including but not
limited to the case where the student unilaterally terminates the employment contract, the student is
unilaterally terminated the employment contract by Hermes, the student is dismissed for disciplinary
reason HERMES can decrease the amount of repayment based on the time period the student has
worked for HERMES.
8. The student cannot leak any classified information of HERMES without the permission of
HERMES.
9. Jurisdiction and court
If there is any dispute, the student and HERMES agree the Vietnamese court as the first instance court.
10. This contract is effective after the student and HERMES signed the contract.
11. Copies of the contract
The student, HCMUTE and HERMES should obtain one copy of the contract.
12. Guarantor
The student should have one guarantor. The guarantor should repay HERMES if the student violates
the terms of section 7 of this contract and failed to repay HERMES.
